WTF you guys are talking about

Under AVB, we lost points at home against West Brom (D) , Norwich (D) , Wigan (L) , Fulham (L) , West Ham (L 0-3!!) , Newcastle (L) & even the likes of Sheriff or Hull, we won by 1 goal difference. That's why we couldn't match Chelsea or Arsenal last season in goal difference, and it could be the same fucking problem this season, he left us with -6 !!

although i'm not impressed with no defensive Mid. under Sherwood, but can you blame him since Capoue losing possession several times with poor short passes. At least we are playing very positive at home, specially compared to those games which i stated under AVB.

at least, TS is playing without Vertonghen, Kaboul, Sandro, Dembele, Paulinho, Townsend & Lennon.. specially the first two are very important, considering to the fact they are out of form this all season. Chirchies is reasonable for both Saints goals and West Brom too. The lad isn't Center back, I would place him in SW, RB or DM or RM or FC but never as CB. Never.

Didn't we beat United for the first time in 30 odd years?

and didn't we finish 1 point away from CL place?

Unfortunately you are right Chirches made too many mistakes in a position where he is often the last man between himself and Loris.
I am beginning to feel sorry for AVB, as Baldini/Levy lumbered him with a bunch of second tier internationals, all just ok, none of them special,

Because any sane in-demand manager/coach will try and avoid working under DL if possible.

Starting feel Brendan Rogers comments about potentially working for Dear Leader might not be far from the mark. (I feel dirty saying that.)

I don't want Shewrood to fail, obviously as i love Tottenham and want us to be ahuge success. But after 3 games it is clear that he is at worst tactically inept and at best tactically naive. Either way, the decision to sack a manager half way through a season with Sherwood as back up is baffling. Hey ho, best support him though.. And people were asking for 'entertaining' football, so now you have a non existent defence and end to end football...

I would be more willing to give him time if he even deserved the chance to manage our club.

He has achieved nothing in management to be given a team that is struggling to find it's form in one of the most difficult leagues in the world.

I would for the sake of the club I love from Tim to prove me wrong but I just can't see how he's going to do it if the early signs are any indicator of how he wants us to play.

AVB had some of the world's best player in his Porto team which is a damn big fish in a small pond.. he then managed poorly in chelscum and got sacked.. he got us thrashed a few times and got sacked.. like what Harry said, AVB has always only being a scout.. not even being thrown deep into the field for ANY minute as a professional player..

as for Tim, his indication for us to play is to attack and outscore our opponents.. simple and effective, although not fully evident yet..

I do admit Tim is probably not the best candidate to bring us forward.. I will very happy if he can emulate Harry in terms of performance.. cos I know other than giving us attacking football and winning when needed, hopefully, Tim is definitely not a media whore as much as Harry for now, and possibly the future, if he got any...

importantly, the main point I wanna bring across was the shortsightedness given to Tim, even lacking the slightest benefit of doubt..

Yes. I think he's being opportunistic there tbh and had we made a serious offer he'd have taken the job, imo. But, people like FDB etc would be crazy to come within a mile of us. High risk and low reward.

I don't think I ever remember seeing a team be successful (successful is winning trophies) by just going out and trying to outscore the opponents.

AVB started out at Académica in Portugal when they were at the bottom of the league in the middle of the season, they finished in 10th or 11th from memory so had least some managerial experience before going to Porto, Chelsea and us.

I find it funny that Sherwood faced all the challenges today that AVB had to face that AVB fans used as reason why he should have stayed.....BUT today it is Sherwoods fault...its hilarious at times.

Get behind him and he will come good....today was way better than most games this season, it was fun again for first time in ages.
