I feel a bit sorry for Levy on this one.

If I had watched a team of people put together a brilliant youth system with exciting, well thought out, balanced play and then promoted them to the hot-seat only to see them immediately descend into what can only be described as 'madness', I would question whether the Spurs job immediately turns people insane. It's literally crazy.

Failure is only achieved at the end of something. U can't achieve failure if you're not allowed to finish a whole season.

Failed so badly he had to be thrown out in the midseason or is that a free pass to any manager given sack midseason? Guess then most of our managers on PL era weren't failures.

...a DM and wide open.

If he wants my support I'm afraid he's going to have to prove that he can do the blindingly obvious. And quick

I hope Levy and Sherwood haven't been making decisions based on what they think the fans want because it's clear from everything that's gone on this year that we as a fanbase have absolutely no idea what's best for the club either. Nobody knows our strongest lineup, nobody can agree on which summer signings were good/bad and nobody knows which direction it's best to take now, at least from what I've read.

We need someone with experience at the club to lead us forward, someone who actually knows football and knows what to do next. Baldini might have some ideas about how to turn this around but we'll have to wait and see. I expect Tim to listen to the fans and play the next match with a DM and Lamela on from the start, we'll need to win though or we'll risk running out of people to blame.

Tim: "It’s important we believe and risk a little more, playing one-touch in around the final third might open things up for us."

Clearly learning from his mistakes of being too attacking... o_O
He clearly wants Benny hill football.
Perhaps we could get little discreet in ear headphones to be playing the theme song on a loop throughout matches

Players will do things first time if they are capable. Otherwise it's just constant rushing around and giving the ball away. Tim is not the one they'll be groaning (yet) when those constant first time passes to no one in particular are going astray...

You cannot just force this group of players to play fast first time give and go passes.

Maybe you can coach it though??? (well here's hoping he can do something)

Against a side that is the best home team in the league and averages 4 goals a game.

Today we played a team that hadn't won in 7 and we were the home team and they had the better chances. not sure you can make a comparison.

The players that came in are quality. AVB was quality. There are things going on behind the scenes which are affecting the players and which we are not privy to.
But I'll bet one thing though. . . that Levy is at the heart of it.
I mean, who else would give someone with no managerial experience an 18 month contract and a @£200m squad ?

It does make you wonder why our home form is so shit it has to be one of the worst in the prem in fact I can't remember who we last beat at home.

that is my point exactly!! every match is different and every team lineup creates different dynamics.. not that the team has been playing together for ages as a champion team like man utd that can win solely as a a unit..

by saying "we played a team that hadn't won in 7 and we were the home team" doesn't that warrant the idea we should go with the attacking notion and negate the presence of a DM which Tim did today? and even I was part of some fans who blamed AVB for being too defensive with playing at home.. Tim answered this call, not heroically to say the least..

and if we couldn't score to win the game with the attacking players we had today, how would a DM in the next game enable us to attack better and win? in that context, we didn't lose today without a DM, again why would we need a DM in the next game, which is against Stoke, not Man City?

Yes, you can clearly see how bad Sherwood is with the long list of results under him. 2 games in the PL. Fuck me...

Yep, 180 minutes of PL footie and so many are in a total tailspin already.... and to be technical, with an unbeaten record in those 2 PL matches...

:wtf: seems a little OTT to me... :stop::playful:

This is so blindingly obvious.... With a defensive midfielder Eriksen would be given more license to get in to attacking positions, our defence wouldnt be so wide open and we wouldnt be expecting attacking midfielders tracking back making silly challenges and giving away free kicks that lead to goals...oh...like today for instance...

something is very very wrong with this team. it was ruined and I don't believe will be fixed this season. Sherwood might be solution but 4-4-2 is definitely not a solution. for 4-4-2 you need natural wingers but we only got one of these (Lennon). 4-3-3 would fit our squad best I think. if we keep on playing 4-4-2, what the hell do we do with Paulinho, Holtby, Siggy, and so on?! plus, we got only 1 holding striker who obviously can't play every game after 6 months of no being dropped.

ps: I tried new FIFA career with that squad playing 4-4-2. I need to sold 3 midfielders in first transfer window and buy LW.
