What makes you think Fredericks won't be?

23 soon and didn't get much minutes at Boro. Then again Poch gave Mason a shot at bit older age despite not that illustrious loanee career on bit higher level (did well on League One though), so it's still a possibility.

Fredericks has been injured, which is the only reason he didn't play pretty much every game. He has also played more for Boro than Mason played for Swindon last year (also due to injury).

Fredericks was out for about a month, thought Mason featured when fit?

His first injury kept him out for 2 months, then he came back and got a hamstring injury, that still hasn't fully regained fitness from.

Mason did feature when fit, unfortunately he was only fit for 1127 mins as oppose to Fredericks 1335.

I'm going to predict Villa have a really strong finish and the fans will love Timmeh and his attacking style of football, but the real test is going to come when he's given a cheque book and pen and let loose on the transfer market. Granted, he'll want to bring through youth but i've no idea if Villa even have any youth worth bringing up. Until he's assembled his squad for next season, i would still suggest that he may be an exceptional coach, motivator, tactician or whatever, but as a manager he still has a lot of learning to do and, considering what a stubborn bastard he comes across as, not entirely sure how quick he'll manage to pick up the necessary diplomacy, timing and business acumen required of modern managers.

Can't fault his ability to motivate and, apparently, his tactical nous though - Villa have been doing exceptionally well in adapting to combat other teams styles, which might not be entertaining to watch some of the time but it seems to be working.

Who knows how well Tim would have done in the second season.... if he did any better than the first, which is a reasonable assumption - it would have been great to have him

First off,do yourself a big favour and stop listening to ITK's.
Secondly,Hugo Lloris will be leaving in the not too distant future regardless of who is in charge.
Finally,Benteke scored 2 goals in 16 EPL games before Sherwood took over....since his arrival, he has scored 10 in 11 games.

Some ITK does in fact have "real stuff" they convery.
I was not talking only about Lloris.but other players as well.
Benteke is regaining fitness again now after being out for a while.
From your "avatar" you seem to be a huge fan of Tim. Let's see how he does next season before claiming he's a genius
Thus said, so far he's been doing a good job for Villa, no doubt.
