is there such a position as wide striker. I would suggest behind the lone striker, just in the hole where no one can pick him.
Yes , there is a position of wide striker. In Danny Rose's case it is 5 miles , close to leyton. That how wide he plays.

I remember reading an article (small chance it was some ITK) that said Rose moved from winger to LB because of an injury that made him less of an attacking threat for some reason. It's a strange one, I wanted Rose to stay and get his chance with us this season but it was clear that we neeeded another LB too.

He seems to have become worse as the season has gone on and gets caught out of position multiple times every game. A good coach might be able to fix this problem though and he would then be worth keeping on.

As it stands though, what's next. Is Sherwood going to admit it was him on the grassy knoll?

And here's me thinking Rose has always been a left back! (shrug)

True. Rose is level with Soldado as our second highest scorer and second most assists. Good point Matty boy (y)
Second highest scorer my Arse. 4 penalties, some goals against the worst teams in Europe and his only league goals from oren play were against villa, Cardiff and stoke.

As for the comparison, you can rate players of different positions on their performances on that role.
Danny Rose is as good at defending as soldado is at being a striker.

Did those penalties not find the back of the net? Did those penalties not count as goals scored? Did those penalties not mean we got points we otherwise wouldn't have got?

Yes!!

How have our other penalty takers fared in comparison?

As for the second point, you've got me there. That's why Soldado has 12 national caps and was only previously bettered in the Spanish league by Ronaldo & Messi, whilst Rose has been tearing up at places like Watford, Peterborough, Bristol City & Sunderland, and had zero caps for his national team (y)

EDIT: I have just took another look & discovered that Eriksen has recently surpassed Soldado as our 2nd highest PL scorer. Ade has 10, Eriksen has 7, Soldado has 6.

Another Arsenal reference from Sherwood. Before he mentioned Berkamp now Cole who will it be next?

The last thing we want to hear is about arsenal players who have adapted well. If he kept his pie hole shut more often then maybe fans would not want him to get the chop.

How is it related to my post?
It was meant as a joke as you are in the minority with your comment.
As for this sentence, I think you must live in a parallel universe, because Radio Tim's (geddit?) forever contacting the likes of Custiss to get his story out.
"Sherwood is getting manipulated by the press and fans who dont like him jsut use it as a springboard. It's unjust."
Of course, you may have just been introducing irony.

Someone could start up a hashtag for Tim: #Timsuggested
Eg Tim suggested Boko Haram take over failing schools.
