"the new <insert other player here>" is one of the most toe-curlingly annoying phrases.

Just shut the hell up, he's 22, let him be Ryan Mason before you start trying to compare him to others.

Ryan had a lot of injury problems second half of the season so I do not think recalling him was an option; but Tim was pretty miffed at not being able to recall Carroll. The absence of a centre midfield player who can thread a forward pass has been killing us ever since Modric left; it is a bit galling that Mason was injury free all through AVB's first season in charge and only got to start one game of football at Spurs and none at Lorient.

Young, inexperienced players can never bring anything to a team. I must have lots of ready made players that cost lots of money.

I suspect as he was on a year long loan to Swindon there wasn't a recall option.

Cos, you know, he never brought Caulker and Townsend into the first team or anything.

Of all the managers we have had at Spurs AVB was the one who showed least interest in the youth set up. I wonder if that has something to do with him never having been through it himself.

The guy is just f-u-c-k-i-n-g unbelievable.

When will it stop?? When??!

It's pointless arguing this with you, but someone had to have persuaded Levy to keep giving him a new contract. Did he not get a 3 year one last year when it looked like he wasn't going to make it? Someone must have had a bit of faith in him...

AVB didn't choose most of those players we brought in, and before you continue fake-quoting and scapegoating him, we were doing a heck of a lot better under him in the league and in Europe at this juncture.

You wanna lay blame, start looking at Sherwood, Ade and Levy... The collaborative architects of our current situation.

Thanks Tim Sherwood! Your opinion is highly valued and you'll be forever respected by all here at Tottenham Hotspur. Have a great day and keep those suggestions coming, we want to hear from YOU.
