His name has made me think..... If he went through a sex change, Tracey Shillow, if you will, would he/she be permitted to play in the league?

Come on, I'm not the only one am I?

Wow we've signed an unknown 17 year old to play in our youth team.

Do you think that every signing we make should be for the first team squad?
Buying these young "unknowns" is just as exciting for some of us fans, fans with a long term view and a sense of pride about how our club is run.

I really don't understand your comment.

OS didn't acknowledge Milos Veljkovic other than in match reports for at least 18 months after he was playing regularly for us, so mid 2017 is about right, might even be optimistic
Did they ever acknowledge that we had signed Azzaoui? I only really recall Anderlecht lamenting his loss but no announcement from our side.

I don't think we announced Azzaoui and don't think we announce any Academy level signing - except maybe in a match report where they say 'xyz was making his debut'. So no real surprise.

We announce when academy players sign professional contracts and the rumour is Shilow will come on a professional contract, so would expect his signing to be announced.
Unless of course they only do for those aged 18yrs and over then.......

I don't know if this is ITK but we generally don't announce when an academy player signs their first pro contract, I actually can't remember the last time we did do if in fact we have. We also as a club we generally don't announce players signing to the academy, though there may be exceptions, but Azzaoui wasn't announced on the website and I don't think Glover was either.

Interesting that Tracey will join on a pro straight away though quite a commitment from us.

Transfer done according to Ebbfleet's official site

Tracey takes the high road to Tottenham
Ebbsfleet United Academy midfielder Shilow Tracey has completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.

Great news, and brilliant to see the compliments about the conduct of our club throughout the transfer.

So it appears he's definitely staying with us, and not going out on loan anywhere?

Agree with that and I never knew about the long standing connection between the clubs. Like the Alli deal, we seem to be getting a good reputation with the way we conduct business.

Yep, it's certainly making a bit of a mockery of this "Levy/THFC are a nightmare to deal with" , that we've seen in the past.

To be fair there's never a problem when we buy from clubs without a pot to piss in for relatively small sums. The "issues" seem to arise when we attempt to buy prize assets from already cash rich clubs.

Pretty sure it would be more beneficial for him to go into our youth system, with occasional first team training sessions, than go out on loan. He's going to be pretty raw and I imagine they'll be looking at quite a few tweaks to get him ready for Premiership football in future years.

Haven't read the article but know a lot of our released players eg Bradley Rudd end up at Ebbsfleet and Ryan Loft also cane from Ebbsfleet
