Well I boycott them anyway because they are a bunch of lying arsholes.

Not just because of Spurs but because of the way that set the news agenda with constant sensationalist headlines and reporting. I honestly don't know how most of them sleep a night. They present the news as if it what we want to hear rather than what they think we should hear.

How does David Beckham get on the front pages? Who cares what colour knickers Britney Spears is wearing or how many times Gordon Brown has a dump. There are far more pressing matters in the world that need reporting and that is what they are there to do.

They are called newspapers, they should be called entertainment papers or magazines.

Scum!

When will people accept that it's not anti-Spurs, it's just we're the best story going around. We've been the standout best story for journos this season. Anyone who can't see that is being ridiculous.

If you honestly think it's all just aimed at us, have a look at what Newcastle fans think at the moment. The media are already suggesting Allardyce is under pressure and the fans are calling for his head. Perhaps all the media are intrinsically anti-Newcastle as well.

Every fan thinks the media are biased against their club. They are all wrong; the media do it to everyone - take a story, fuel the story, enjoy the shitstorm that ensues. But fans only notice when it's their club in the firing line, and assume it's an industry-wide bias against their particular club.

What is pretty clear is that the media have a pretty low opinion of the average football fan.

So what would be more fitting - and more effective - is to get football fans to boycott papers. Good luck with that.

Why are we surprised by how the Press is in UK? As the Bible says.....'You reap what you sow' and that is just about how it is and will always be. The Tabloids are the 'life blood' of British society....or a large section of it anyway. We all know that 'CHEAP' journalism is popular....falsehoods sell papers and falsehoods thrive in this kind of paper....YES...DON'T buy them and they will no longer be a problem....BUT who will start the PURGE ? Nobody....so....again I say.....'You reap what you sow'....COYS!

It's not just the tabloids, though. The broadsheets have been at it too. The Telegraph had a pretty idiotic piece about Berbatov today.

Remenmber it is a compliment to our club that our "stories" always get covered or made up because we react and everyone is interested.
Just look at Talkshite, they know if they start a show with a Spurs story they are guaranteed a) listeners b) reaction c) counter reaction. A recent example, fat twat Parry suggested action against us for playing a game with our manager already knowing he had got the sack! Is it fair on the other teams in the group he said??
If a lesser team had sacked their manager.. so what.

The tabloids in this country are a joke, but they sell lots of papers, so the poeple of this country are culpable, we are a chav nation now and people who don't like it need to put up unfortunately or leave.

As for us, we get more stick than we deserve as a club, because the media is London centric, which means alot of the journos are supporters of London clubs and we're the most disliked by the other big sides in London.

If supporters genuinely want to do something, then it needs to be England wide, on many issues in football, including this one football supporters could be very influential as a collective, but our English shrug of the shoulders oh well attitude means nowt ever gets done.

There was a story last week about Heather Mills and an interview she gave on a breakfast tv show.It showed a transcript of the interview and the front pages from the tabloids, every single one of them had misquoted her and portrayed her in a very negative way.
If they print downright lies on their front pages, what is the chances of any truth on the back pages?

They seem to have started to get bored with us, and if we string a run of results together and Berba starts scoring and smiling they'll probably give it a rest. Looks like Allardyce is shaping up as the next hit.
