On the wing, though. And yes, I was one of several who thought he might do a good job on Fabregas, but in the end I take the view that Jol (and Ramos) know about a bazillion times more than I do about team selection.

I appreciate what you're saying, USA, and as you know I was always one of Ghaly's and Mido's biggest supporters, and, yes, we've had selective and downright misleading translations of what both have said on Egyptian TV. And there were a lot of people claiming Ghaly was never booed that night until he threw the shirt, which is, frankly, bollocks. I wasn't there, but the catcalls, etc, were clearly audible on the radio commentary. But he's never really come out and made the full public apology that would have made it possible for him to have made a comeback, and that, in the end, is the problem.

Can I just reiterate here that unless you read it on our official website, or actually heard him say it, you shouldn't believe anything he's claimed to have said. So many people here calling him ****s... well frankly I think you're all ignorant ****s.

He was a good player for us. Fans got on his back for absolutely no reason at all. He threw his shirt because the fans were treating him like shit. He still shouldn't have thrown his shirt, but I can understand why he might have done it.

Mido, i domt care much for. he is a good player unlikle what a lot on here said but am i crazy about him ? naaaa.. berbatov (if hypothically compared to Mido), has him by a zillion miles at this time so Mido's crying for playing time was a laughing matter specially when with him on the field, u needed Berbatov to be benched..hmm, eh was not happening in a million years.

as for Ghaly, although he had some terrible passing decisions at times, i thought he's got the guts of a fighter.. very poised and very smart player.

so in a situation like this, i am very happy taking the side of Ghaly since he really didnt attach or insult anyone in the organization in his latest interview..was just a plain and simple interview and ghaly was as humble as can be.. he didnt have his fighting gloves on, for sure.

mido , i wouldnt fight for really...on when he is on and shit when he is shit...period

give ghaly another chance? yeah, dont hold anything against him for what he did in the cercomstance, but only if he is putting the effert into training, which i dont think has been done seeing as it keep poping up that he is in egypt or going back and forth from there

No way. He threw his shirt on the pitch, in front of fans, team mates and the manager. Maybe if he was as a Ginola, a Klinsmann I would consider giving him a chance but he isn't even a Jenas. Sell him, asap.

i think that may have been what he was going for, seeing all the abuse he was getting most the fans at the game, if we insult our own players we cant expect them to turn round and love us or even the club!

I wouldnt think he would get another chance. I dont really care about the shirt throwing any more, its ages ago and he was probably jusr frustrated.

But in reality we have no need to give Ghaly nother chance, I didnt think he was a great player and Hudd and Tainio and the prince are all better, so he would be 6th choice CM or something anyway
