Inter away is a big game in this group. With up Barca up next it is important we get at least a draw in my opinion and in the form they are in we should be targeting a win. So therefore we play our strongest team and that is a team with Harry Kane in it. I think every season (usually in August) we talk about Harry being out of form blah blah. He has always been a striker who scores in hot streaks. We just need to hope he starts one of these runs soon. In don't think dropping or resting him is the answer.

He's not "out of form"

The guy can't run past a jog.

I think for a start we need to stop playing him in a 2. If we go back to a 4231 or try a 433 and he still turns up and gives exactly the same type of performance he has been then yes, I think he should be "rested" for a few consecutive matches.

I think Kane should be rested and Lamela Moura and Son given more minutes. Will not only help Kane but also give the other guys a chance to go on a run. I also think going forward if Kane is having little impact on a game there is a case for substitution after 60/70 minutes.

We didn't miss Kane when he was out last spring seem to remember 1-3 up against Chelsea before he came on playing great football
I think we've been sussed out though now as a static Kane plus this season's challenged midfield creativity is showing. A creative midfield needs confident and mobile targets. On paper this team should be firing with the best, on grass however...

I think we have Moura up front to save Kane's legs at the moment, and if that's the case he should be rested. If it isn't the case he should be deployed up top on his own and up his work rate.

Should have pulled out of the England squad.

Some decent hold up from Kane tonight be he looks a distance off of the pace of the game.
Worryingly he claims he's fit and sharp. Sorry Harry you're not.

Doesn't seem strong enough to shrug off defenders and run onto through balls and hardly shoots now because he just doesn't get in the positions and is not quick enough and gets swallowed up by defenders.

Just as woeful tonight without Moura apparently getting in his way.

Something seriously wrong and it's down to Poch to sort it one way or another.

Admittedly Son, Lamela and Moura look tempting for the Brighton game. The problem is in midfield though and an inability to really pass through it, from the back forward

When the stats about his sprints/shots/speed are all so low in comparison to previous seasons how can they carry on with this "nothing wrong with Harry" mantra.

Who are they trying to kid?

If I was Poch i would tell him to have a few weeks rest, get DL to babysit the nippers and have complete rest as you are doing yourself and Spurs no good in pretending everything is dandy. when you are a shadow of your normal self. And it's not something that a goal off your arse or a run of games is going to solve.

Give him a few weeks off. No need to flog him to death. Poor bloke can barely get out of a jog.

He should play until the Barca game, then take 2 weeks completely away from football. We can beat Cardiff at home without him, then it's the international break.

Poch needs to tell Southgate that under no circumstances is Kane to be called up.

He seems mentally drained if not physically. He's not playing great so I don't see why a couple of weeks off could make him any worse.

Because if he's mentally drained then a couple of weeks off could make all the difference.

And Llorente/son/Lamela are not going to be any worse than Kane in the number 9 position.

Likes Erik Lamela, deal with it.

He is in poor form but we simply need to keep playing him back into form imo.
