"Never really got a fair chance or run in the team" why is it that when people leave people's memory become rose tinted ?
For the record he got a fair crack and failed
... there are VERY few players I can think of that didn't get a fair chance at the club ...funnily enough one is here now in GNK
Ohhhhh so when he was played as a LM (not his preferred position) for us would you say that was fair to him?

I love Siggy, and I was pumped when we signed him. But he's not versatile enough for our system. Eriksen and Dele can move around all over the place. But Siggy doesn't have that in his locker. He's a number ten or nothing.

I hope he stays at Swansea and they stay up.

I think he's a decent player just not for us a bit like Forlan couldn't score for utd but went abroad and did well you could say.

For us I always felt he was always hitting the post or sending it wide and over (maybe felt pressure at WHL) and I don't think he would fit into Poch''s system although I'm sure he would be better than Sissoko.

No that isn't fair to him but he wasn't played there everytime he played ! He was in his preferred position too and he failed to shine and keep that position , it's as simple as that

FOR THE LAST TIME

Poch was asked by a reporter the following question.

" What do you make of how Gylfi Sigurdsson is playing for Swansea and is HE A PLAYER THAT WOULD FIT IN YOUR TOTTENHAM TEAM? "

@13;20 onwards

Poch says yes, and is effusive in his praise about Siggy even says "perfect player for us"

Guys i literally made this thread based on Poch talking about Siggy, we really can't use that as an excuse as the Poch himself as stated that he would fit into his team.

We wasted him before, no point bringing him back.

Stay away Thor.

If we'd had Siggy and Tommy C playing for us this season we'd have pissed the league

Oh and let's not forget Andros etc etc etc etc etc etc

Do me a favour

We are where we are exactly because we got rid of all these jubs!

Only read the first page so this point might have been made but, we are judging siggy being coached by avb. For Swansea he has his good stats but maybe isn't physically as top notch as our players.

Point is if poch likes him then he will know that he can transform the creative talent of siggy into one of us. Stepping up a level like eriksen has.

Poch can transform him. Siggy has the tools, just needs to be relentlessly trained in our system. He will morph into a butch athlete. Slowly our criticism of him will vanish.

Well if Poch really thinks that, we'll make him a priority target if Swansea go down so you have nothing to worry about. Doesn't matter what a load of blokes on the internet think.

Might be coached into a replacement for Eriksen if he moves in a couple of years, or, if he stays because we're winning loads of trophies, then an able and essential deputy and competitor.

Technically great, but I think the AM player we're missing would ideally be a bit quicker and trickier - and, dare I say, younger

Really like him as a player, but I think we could do better personally
