Didn't we sign him for about £8m? If so, that's a good bit of business.

Doesn't seem like a good fit for Palace.

Siggy isn't conducive in a counter attacking unit and nor is he physical enough to grind it out centrally.

Not complaining though as he is almost definitely surplus to requirements and his position in the squad can be easily filled.

Seemed like a good guy though so all the best at Palace but too much like a feather in the wind here and not enough personality on the pitch.

I would actually argue that he is. He does very well in space, which is why he's never been a consistent contributor at Spurs. I think he'd be a good option for them in driving the ball forward with his passing ability towards their pacey wingers.

For our third goal against Swansea...were Rose squares for Ade, he was nicely involved in that counter attack IIRC.

Yeah he does it well when he's afforded space. Problem is with a big club in the Prem, we're never consistently afforded the space that he likes to exploit.

I like him as a player but id rather Holtby played ahead of him, I think Holtby may well flourish under the new manager .

I was one of his most vocal critics on here, nice lad it seems but it was clear from even his first couple of games that he has serious deficiencies and he has kept on showing them. A No.10 who was too slow of both thought and foot and got crowded out easily.

A poor buy by Levy and his stats minions.

Much greater attacking threat than Paulinho, far better movement in the final 3rd. Not making him out to be a superstar but Spurs have completed wasted his potential. Another example of AVB clearly having no idea what he was doing.

If he'd had a run of games there behind Adebayor last season he'd have come good. Instead he got 3/4 games behind Defoe and was then sacked off to the left wing to rot for 2 years.

Only if you think scoring goals is a priority for left-backs

I was joking of course. But your comment about the haters I don't agree with.

He's had more enough opportunities and hasn't shown enough over all. And nobody is hating...just pointing out the reality, world of difference.

So I have put Rose's volley against the Scum in here does the same apply for him?!

Sigurdssons goal was all pure skill and power (I'm not Alan Shearer, I promise), you can't say the same about the goal Rose scored, that was just pure luck.

Is he better than Eriksen, Holtby and Lamela? No. I don't hate the guy but he would never have been a starter for us. He deserves to get first team football in his preferred position and he'll get that at Palace.

No but I'd play Lamela wide and use 3 CM's so he'd be rotating with Eriksen and Paulinho for the more attacking CM spot in the CM3. Holtby would play the link role. I think he's better than Paulinho in the final 3rd so I don't like him going
