How did OUR medical staff not notice he had this condition, but San Jose did? You would've thought that we had better recources...

My mate has had that exact same thing, had it operated on and has been left with two scars down the back of his legs from his knee to his ankle! Not nice at all.

Believe that's 4 goals in 8 overall, not bad for an attacking midfielder, even if it is the MLS.

Really hope the boy can do something.

Scored tonight against DC United, came on 2 mins into the 2nd half and got his goal within 30 seconds.

Looked pretty good playing as a #10.

Tim Sherwood, Tottenham Hotspur technical coordinator, has good reason to keep a watchful eye on the Earthquakes' Simon Dawkins.
Sherwood not only believes in the English striker's gifts but also might want to return them to Europe sooner than later.
"If he had a run of games, he could play with the Tottenham first team," Sherwood said in a telephone interview this week.
After returning from a May 5 surgery on both calves, Dawkins isn't fit to play the entire game Saturday when the Quakes travel to D.C. United for the start of a two-game trip. But with leading scorer Chris Wondolowski away with the U.S. national team, San Jose needs the goal-scoring threat to help protect its undefeated streak that reached five games last weekend.
Dawkins, 23, has a lot at stake while on loan from Tottenham this season. But so do the Earthquakes, who have a partnership with the English Premier League club that could lead to more young players coming to San Jose.
If the Dawkins experiment works, Sherwood suggested the Quakes could become a destination for young talent. He said Major League Soccer is a better proving ground for skilled players such as Dawkins than lower-division English clubs.
"We should do that a lot more," Sherwood said. "MLS is perfect for them."

Just been checking out his stats.

15 games, with 11 starts, a total of 963 minutes on the pitch.

30 shots, 11 on target, resulting in 4 goals.

I am watching him right now, my favorite MLS team (Seattle) is playing San Jose. I've seen Dawkins a couple other times, and he is no where near good enough for Spurs. He fails to impose himself on the game, makes poor decisions, doesn't work very hard. Can't see him making it here. Probably will be sold to a Championship team.

Scoring in the MLS is not a big deal.
Really? because a certain Donovan and even Keane who played for everton certainly made a large impact in the premiership

He played well against Colorado in the 4-1 win and I remember thinking DA FUQ! have we signed him for, when he did sign

But I think when he comes back he should certainly be given a contract extension and then either loaned or sold to premiership team when he comes back

Is it just me, or, aside from the goals (which are all impressive) does he look like a good passer who can link up and moves really really well. I know what those who have seen more of him say, and it ain't good, but he looks like an intelligent and talented player here.
