Straight up poll - no reasons needed as the debate rages in many other threads - just very interested to see in black and white people's opinion.

Bizarrely though, I don't think it is a simple yes or no vote as a lot of fans appear to be happy if he stays AND happy if he goes. The general feeling is more "let's just have it sorted one way or another". Most appreciate what he has done for us whilst also appreciating that he has some huge flaws.

To a certain extent I agree - I myself am torn - but I purposely didn't put an "uncertain" option in the poll to try and force people's hand.

You are bang on Monta. It's not a simple yes or no.

Who knows if Harry, with no distracions such as England next season, couldn't have us playing the same way and winning as we were up to february, for the whole of next season. It's quite possible that he could.

He just needs to be backed or sacked.

I voted 'Yes'...love the bloke, he has done wonder's for us .....and then the FA got rid of Capello. Once they appointed RH, our form returned...so looks like the players were affected by what was happening....

Yes overall, but getting it sorted is the thing.

Nope. The manager got affected by what happened and the players got pissed off with his absence and his lack of time for them and the team. (I'm quoting ITK here).

Deep down I was hoping that Harry got the England job so that he could part on reasonable terms with the club, no acrimony and well wishes thanking him for his time at the club and some glorious moments along the way. I think it probably would have been the best option for all concerned, Harry got his dream job, Levy doesn't have the dilemma of whether we stick with Harry or twist and go for a guy who could take us where I'm not sure Harry can and the fans aren't divided by pro Harry and Anti Harry brigades. We then could have made moves for someone who could have done the things Harry couldn't without it being covered in controversy.

agree, i would be happy if he goes but not too fussed if he stays, but we need it done one way or another within 2 weeks i would say.

If you are quoting ITK I think you should maybe have written,

I think no. The manager got affected by what happened and apparently the players got pissed off with his absence and his lack of time for them and the team.

This is the problem with so called ITK, it is used to beat the guy when it could all be absolute balls, undoubly there was some dip in form around this time. I would say it was a combination of a lot of things, managment and players. Again the mixed ITK regarding the Chavs and the UAE will be used to beat Harry with when at the end of the day there is no way of knowing weather its bullshit or not, just my opinion. The facts are Harry has been our most successful manager in my lifetime, with no obvious successor I am voting yes.

I think the concensus is that either/or is too restrictive and doesn't accurately reflect opinion.

I am with the concensus: he got us fourth again (which should, really, be CL ), and if Chelsea had won the CL I would be saying he had earned the right to lead us back into the comp (even if he had fecked up, somewhat). So, I wouldn't be devastated if he stays. On the other hand, I don't think he will get a contract extension, he is 65, and his health hasn't been great, so I can see us having to make a change within the next year, anyway. On top of that, they are other clubs who we should rightly consider to be our rivals (Liverpool, for instance) who are looking for managers now, and we may miss the best targets and be left with a derth next Summer <THINKS OF ANOTHER PLEAT-MEISTER INTERLUDE - SHUDDERS>. It may be as well making a change now...but that doesn't mean that Redknapp should be sacaked. I would be happier if he got job elsewhere (Quatar, for instance), or we parted by mutual cosent, on good terms, if he is replaced.

So, probably leaning towards the latter, but not in any vehement sense.

As a person, from what little I know of him the man is a liar, and comes across as not a very nice person, but as a football manager, he's one of our most successful ever, and that's what matters so I voted yes.

Yes this is the crux of it mate.

I hate this half way house, sitting on the fence stance. He needs to be backed or we part ways now. I don't like this situation where the end is in sight for him knowing he won't get an extension to his contract, that's the worst possible scenario for me.

I'm another one on the fence. If we can replace him with somebody better then replace him, otherwise give the guy a break. As someone said above, the ITK bulletins are a mixture of the truth, hearsay, estimated guesses and wild stabs in the dark. As a result you can't take any of them too seriously (in my opinion) and all of these rumblings of discontent behind the scenes are just rumours until someone can come up with proof or an end result that backs them up.

On the face of it he's given us the best few seasons in a long time and should be praised for it. Is it time for a change? I think it probably is to be honest but he has a year to go on his contract and if he's manager next season I'll get behind him and wish him well.

Sorry to be a prick about it, but you know they did win the Champions League, right?

Whilst it's obvious what you meant, it's beginning to look like this sort of thing happens quite a lot with your posts.
