If the reports from the summer of 2016 had turned out to be true, Moussa Sissoko could have been lining up against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday instead of playing for them. The midfielder had been heavily linked with a move to Everton – Spurs’ opponents at Goodison Park – but on the final day of the transfer window, amid all the excitement of last-minute multi-million pound deals, certain outlets had got a little carried away.

Excellent interview, Sissoko comes across very well from that. Shows that if you work hard, fans will appreciate you, hope he continues through the rest of the season.

Known unknown incoming.
If he had gone to Everton
would he have become
the player we all now love
without Poch-love
and unstinting support
of the Spurs faithful.

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Good on him. I hope he continues with his decent form.

Sounds like a sensible person, who concentrates on his strengths and tries to minimise his weaknesses.

Never thought it would happen but Poch has found a role for him in which he excels. He must be a very tough character which is one of the main attributes that Poch likes. Can only congratulate Sissoko on what he has achieved. Long may it continue.

Come on Sissoko, we're all willing a goal for you. Today would be a great place to start given the link with Everton.

We are strong, we must believe. Let's get that solid win! COYS.

Not a first by Poch. He also found a new perfect role for the other underperforming Mousa who really wasn't contributing much.

Great interview

But it is kinda weird this “wow who knew he was a centre midfielder” stuff when that’s where all his best performances pre-us were

The funny part of that is that the media/fans created this narrative that we had to spend £30mil to outbid Everton...seems we were always paying that
