Even if he had a great attitude I'd want rid of him. He's shit. The fact that he's an arsehole makes it a must sell.

Sell him and bring in Mahrez from Leicester, apparently he wants to leave. More player power.

To be fair I don't think he expects to start, it sounds to me more like he accepts that he isn't going to start.

From Metro and sky sports:

“I fell from high. Even though I never thought I would play all the games, I was not expecting such a low playing time. It was the worst season of my career when collectively it was certainly the best – it’s weird.

“The club finished second, so maybe it was not wrong, but, personally, I was hoping better. We can not go back. Who can say how it would have happened if I had gone elsewhere?

"Today, I am disappointed because I aspired to better but I am not dejected. I was not expecting such a low playing time."

“I want an honest discussion about what they intend to do, their future with me. From there, everything will be clearer in my head.”

"Once again, what I want is for everything to be clear. If the manager is no longer counting on me, if he thinks that other players are better, then he should say it."

The 27-year-old, who failed to register a single goal for Spurs, also revealed that he had a falling out with Pochettino in November when he was dropped from the squad altogether but insisted the pair settle the matter.

“It was not because of my performance on the field,” he added. “There was a misunderstanding between us, it settled.

There are two ways at looking at the quotes, to me I choose to believe he thinks he should have had more playing time, I don't think that's an unfair inference particularly given the falling out with MoPo. But it isn't clear and admit I may be wrong.

@tiger666 I do hope you are not including me in that, I haven't been critical of him in the forums (until my post above) nor have I booed him at WHL.

The problem is that he was a late buy, missed pre-season, then got banned. Clearly, upsetting the manager wouldn't have helped, but Pochettino took him back and trusted him in games. It was clear he lost his confidence. It is difficult to know how good he can be, but he got picked in the French national team for the final of the Euros. It may just be that he is not suited to the Premiership and will flourish elsewhere: look at Fazio, who's been recalled to the Argentine national team. It will be interesting to see what Poch decides. I thought he was trying to turn him into some sort of wingback towards the end of the season.

Who would we drop?

Sissoko was a bad buy, we should have let him go to Everton and banked the money for this season.

We have some really shitty fans.

In fairness Jenko is just saying what most of us on here think. Could have been put differently but i see no vote of confidence in the same way some have on Janssen and both have been poor this season in all fairness.

He's done nothing to warrant being called an arsehole.

He fell from helping to take a side down to the Championship to joining a CL Club, about to go on a record run, come second in the PL and win countless plaudits.

If this was indeed the worst season of his career we should send him out on loan to Huddersfield and them let him wallow in self pity.

Everything in that statement reeks of self entitlement and not once ounce of can do attitude, no wonder he's been on the periphery of the starting eleven.

That all said i refuse to believe that no one at the club was warned about his attitude.

He's a disruptive influence, anyone who tries to break up the harmony of this side, is to a lot of people an arsehole.

Warranted or not it's a point of view and i see nothing wrong in someone expressing an opinion.

They can express it all they like, I'll still call them shitty for calling him an arsehole.

Late impulse buy.
It didn't work out.
I hoped he would settle and come good.
He hasn't.
If we can work out something mutually beneficial then great.

Classic case of buying a player that looks the nuts against u. When we played the barcodes last season he ran riot both games.

In hindsight zaha was the better option but in truth i hope we are aspiring for a lot better than them. Added together. And multiplied by a BIG number.

Has to be one of the most farcical transfers in living memory.

I don't really understand how anyone could disagree with this? He's our record signing and everyone was baffled by it at the time. This isn't one that turned out badly with hindsight. It was a very weird, expensive signing at the time.

A year on, and he's barely played for us and when he has he's been very poor.

I ask if this transfer isn't farcical, which is?
