It would be completely hypocritical for Chelsea to ask for it, of course.

Oh, please Mr Uefa, ban the bigger spenders than us.

But, as A&C says... Arsenal to get fifth if City get banned.

Chelsea have actually complied with FFP somehow. Liverpool, on the other hand, have failed two years in a row and should therefore be banned from Europe as well.

We're not fit for the CL anyway, regardless of what the hell happens to our club before next season. Could you imagine the embarassment which would come our way? I think the one positive to come out of this season, is that we won't qualify for the CL. We must rebuild first and foremost.

That is never a positive whichever way you look at. If we did qualify I think we'd at least make the groups again and the extra cash and exposure would be worth a fortune.

Arsenal get 5th and still get Champions League football then I know this is hell and I'm being punished for wrongs committed in a past life!

Wait, you mean qualify out of the group? Talk about optimistic! You cannot surely be basing that on the last time we qualified, we kind of had a slightly different team, i.e, one that was capable of playing in that comp.

Think he means qualify for the group stages.

If Arsenal finish 5th and still get in the CL, I will literally

This could be a thread on it's own "What would you do if Arsenal finish 5th and still get CL"

Me? I'd go to my local lake and boot as many ducks up the arse as I could.

Wrong thread :D hahaha!!

More fitting for the how can this season get any worse.

Life of Spurs fan, lady fate doesn't just kick you in the balls, she rips them out and makes a smoothie with them, then gives them back with a cherry on top.

Nice. I'll have two.

Should, yes, but won't because they are not IN Europe now.
Which shows Ley's master plan.

Not qualify for Europe for next season, spend billions and then become FFP complian when we have a winning team.

I meant qualify for the group stage, not the knockout stage.

This would somehow be fitting....i had been saying for a couple months that the only way Spurs would get 4th this season would have been if United somehow won the champions league so that we ended up getting screwed out of CL the next season.

It would only be fitting that this would be the season that Arsenal get CL by finishing 5th.

I'm sure I read that uefa said it wasnt an option to ban city or PSG from CL.

And its most likely a fine or transfer ban at worst.

Which just goes to show how pathetically inadequate and contradictive UEFA's ruling is. The whole idea of FFP is to prevent teams from qualifying for European competition by overspending. What have Liverpool done? Overspent. What is the outcome? Qualifying for the Champions League. But with this stupid clause UEFA have hamstrung themselves from actually doing anything to enforce FFP. It's the same with Monaco.
