Looks like the olympic stadium in Helsinki. The sound just escapes from there, so they will have to be careful to keep an atmosphere.

East London? Even further away from me and much harder to get to for me? Fuck that.

They didn't consult you?

:violin:

God I hope you get raped.

Anyway, We're a N London team - if we move, we lose our roots.

Then we're no better than the dirty woolwich winkers.

If we do move we should stay in NL, even though it'll be a nightmare for me to get to as I live in Russell Sq.

For the greater good of our spurs I will make that trip.

Because I love Tottenham, even thoughI'm still indifferent to Ramos and Poyet.

Mayor Ken Livingstone has decreed there will be NO private means of access, cars, etc for the stadium for the Olympics 2012, only people using public transport, there will be no parking provision for visitors

Yes, fuck that. I'm still hoping they settle on the world cup stadium in seoul. Great transport links, decent capacity, very modern facilities, cheep beer on site. There's literally over 1 fan here from this site alone.
Come on Levy, THINK OF THE FANS!

Sure the 25k figure can easily change to let say 65k and the running track lost - like Man City did.

no it cant,

The running track will stay and we will have no option but to put up with it as it will not be our stadium. we will only be there as lodgers,

It's dreadful. It is the complete opposite to how I hope our stadium design will be. If we end up with an atmposphere-less fruit bowl lump of steel like that I will be upset.

Why would we want a stadium where you sit (or preferably stand) half a mile from the action, that is completely open so any sound disappears into the night sky, is sunk into the ground making it less imposing?

No thanks.

You hope I get raped because I don't want us to move to East London because it would be a right **** for me to get to? Or perhaps you're on my side and think it's God's doing and you hope God gets raped. Either way,.

Quote from the article:

"Once the Olympics are over, it will be turned into a 25-000-seater community venue and could also become home to a lower-league football or rugby club."

Hope you're not suggesting we're lower league! Eek I know we've not had the best start to the season but.....

I think that's a pretty sensible idea, otherwise East London would be totally gridlocked for a fortnight or however long the Olympics last.

No pubs, no chippies/kebab shops, a soulless dustbin in the middle of nowhere. No thanks.

Absolutely a non-starter, but the last 2 lines interest me.

Red Ken says 'we' have located a much more suitable location. Why the feck is he helping them? And if he is, then why isn't he helping us? Surely our move is more imminent? Could we not get him to help/sort out the transport situation around the Lane, which is apparently Levy's main concern about not renovating WHL?

The location of the Olympic Stadium would be less than 10 miles away from the current WHL, would be a lot cheaper than a new stadium because the Olympics need it anyways, and would be much more accessible by transport. If we will have a new stadium, why not use this one?
