The location of the Olympic Stadium would be less than 10 miles away from the current WHL, would be a lot cheaper than a new stadium because the Olympics need it anyways, and would be much more accessible by transport. If we will have a new stadium, why not use this one?

...and as somebody (SS57 I think) recently stated on here
Woolwich is only 11.5 miles from the Lane.

Because it is awful and would maybe have the worst atmosphere of any stadium ever built.

I've been to the Barcelona Olympic stadium to watch Espanyol play. It was massively reduced in capacity to accomodate the minnows but retained the track - a total wasteland for atmosphere. However it's a fantastic location and very easy to get to with a wembley style walk to the entrance but that's about it. No bars or pubs and no sense of tradition of locality. They're a rubbish club and deserve little better. If we move locally or redevelop then that'd be the best option for me.

The Olympic Stadium was built on the promise that afterwards it would be able to continue to host athletics's. There is simply no chance that they will get rid of the track around it.

Plus its further away from me, or is it closer?

Now that would be interesting if you flew due south from Kiwiland and ended up coming over the North Pole and down through Scotland wouldn't it
