Why hasn't Arsene offered him a coaching role? Telling isn't it.

If he ever truly believes he wants to be a manager then he needs to lose the ego & chip on his shoulder that he carries with him.

He is so hell bent on making everything about race that it backfires with him, like all the talk about having a black captain for England. I honestly wouldnt care either way if there was a black captain, or white captain, or middle east, far east captain for England. If that person is captain material (eg our own Ledley) then thats fine with me. King was and will always be my Club Captain (Harry may challenge that in the long run) for Spurs because the man exudes class in everything he does.

Campbell is just an idiot who thinks he deserves everything for nothing, the moment he made that move from Spurs to Arsenal, every neutral fan I know thought he was a w*nker and he lost almost all his respect from that day on.

Sol, you are a traitor pr*ck who will never be a good manager as most people actively dislike you, anyway......good luck haha!

It's almost as if people in football don't trust him, don't like him and don't want him. I wonder where it all went wrong.

Everywhere perhaps?

when he claimed to be Spurs through and through and left for Arsenal. When he claimed he wanted to play overseas and joined Portsmouth. When he sued them for image rights despite the club being in administration. When he gave up on Notts County a month into a 5yr contract. When he turned up overweight at Newcastle and they declined to renew his one year contract. Or perhaps almost everything since? His vacant expressions and lack of insight on TV, his political aspirations, his outrage at the mansion tax, his support (if you can call it that) of fox hunting because of the clothing and the banter.

He's ridiculous. Completely unaware of how people see him and comes across as a complete phony. Almost like OJ Simpson if anyone has seen that ESPN 'OJ: Made in America' documentary. Totally forgotten his roots, pretending to fit in with a sector of society he isn't really part of and trying to be the same as them without any understanding of who he really is.

If he showed some humility, got on with working somewhere (I read he's asst with Trinidad & Tobago?!) and proving himself to be worth the bother instead of complaining in the press like he's owed a living because he once played football then, maybe, a club would give him a chance.

I can just see the headlines now:

"Spennymore Town suffer an embarrassing 5-0 defeat at home to Salford City as manager Sol Campbell sensationally leaves the ground at half time to go home. Campbell then took to Twitter to accuse the Salford players of racism, claiming they would not have taken so many shots against a team managed by a white person."

If he's serious about taking a non-league job for free he should give the guys at Leyton Orient a call. They've had a really awful time over the last season with relegation and almost going out of business and I can imagine the lift it would give them knowing that they still aren't desperate enough to want him anywhere near the club.

Do they need someone to sell programs at the turnstiles?

http://www.espn.co.uk/football/unit...ll-interested-in-becoming-united-states-coach

Sol Campbell, Trinidad & Tobago's assistant manager, has told ESPN that he would be interested in becoming the United States' coach and gave his perspective on the team's failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

U.S. coach Bruce Arena quit after the failure to make it to the finals in Russia next summer, and former Arsenal and England defender Campbell urged the USMNT to have an open mind when considering a successor. He even suggested he would be willing to help.

He said: "I think there is a lot of soul-searching [for the U.S. to do]. I think the main thing you've got to look at [with] America is where do they go now? They've invested a lot of money, and I think sometimes you've got to look in different areas. You can't always look in the same places.

"Yes, they want to keep it local, and they want to keep as much in USA with the players and the staff, but sometimes you've got to open up. I think there's guys around the world who could contribute.

"Maybe not [people] on their hit list, maybe not on the paper list, maybe not on the agent's list, but guys who probably could help them in different ways on the field: attack-wise, defence-wise.

"Who knows? If they came to me, maybe I could help them out. Who knows? But I think they have got to start looking in different directions."

Campbell also said the U.S.' margin of defeat could have been bigger because of their complacency.

"I think they thought they had won the game before they actually turned up," he said. "I'm not saying every single player thought that.

"There was a lot of rain the day before, and there was a lot of commotion. Different changing rooms as well, [but] the next day the sun was out, and it was a perfect pitch [and] everything around the track had dried up.

"The trouble is I feel like there were far too many excuses. Also, Trinidad, we played extremely well. Really well. It could have been 4-1."

Poor old Trinidad and Tobago. Didn't realise he had rolled up there. Expect Judas will be offered more money and bugger off to coach Jamaica.

Campbell, 43, said: "I did go (for the job) and they didn't accept me. Maybe it was a lack of experience things like that blah blah blah, but it's a full circle. Experience? How do I get experience when I need a job to get experience?

"I don't want to go too low that it's a struggle and I don't want to go too low that I'm under someone and thinking 'what am I doing here?'

"I would rather be managing a club myself. I'm confident and it's not like it's rocket science to run a football club especially when you get to that level.

"If you're intelligent enough and a quick learner you will learn pretty soon within two or three games what the team needs training wise to survive in that league, to get better, to get in the play-offs or even win the league.

"I'm intelligent enough, it's not like I played on a fox and dog pitch all my life.

"I can't believe some people, I'm one of the greatest minds in football and I'm wasted because of a lack of experience or maybe he talks his mind too much."

Instead, they are said to be appointing Craig Bellamy.

Hang in there Sol. Even Donald Trump became President and he knows all the words.

Nob. There’s a word.

The level of arrogance, ignorance and self delusion is astounding. He'd make a great President.
