It will be interesting to see his coaching staff. I assume he'll give others the opportunities that he said were missing in the game.

I think he'll hire a team of yes men styled on Bradley Walsh's character from Mike Bassett.

How long do we reckon he'll last? 1-2 weeks? A big longer? Less than Clough at Leeds? Less than Harry Redknapp in the jungle?

He's not gonna work as a manager, doesn't matter how intelligent he thinks he is, modern r day players need to warm to him and he needs to have a personality, the problem is he is a twat and I'm not just saying that because he has history with us he really is a twat of the highest order.

I'm just glad we finally get to see him in management, he might get the wake up call he needs, we'll see.

Unfortunately he already has that convenient hook to hang his repeated failures on and he'll carry on doing that as long as people are stupid enough to employ him.

I completely agree. A lot of coaches focus so much on humility and the human side of coaching nowadays, something that he is incapable of and will go over his head. I recently watched a video on the 5 levels of leadership and was comparing it to the like of Poch and Klopp and you can see that they have any of these qualities and are very self aware in that respect. Now compare that to Campbell and it doesn't look good for him. I just can't see players buying in to what he tells them, especially at that level.

Exactly.

It's sort of ironic that in his first job in management he already sounds like a throwback to the bad old days.

Plus, he's a ****.

Nah this is a setup lol

Macclesfield are shit and it looks like they may go down this season, if he takes them down that's if he lasts that long who's gonna employ him?

There's a part of me that hopes he has a career in management and that he repeatedly runs into selfish, egotistical, disloyal characters just like himself and that they come out with exactly the same sort of bollocks that he did when he shat all over our club. W***er.

I spoke to Sol Campbell last week and he told me there is only one guy on par with his excellence in life. I thought he would be talking about someone intelligent like Stephen Fry but the answer was his reflection

Another classic quote :
"The difference between the Premier League and League Two is just margins, decision-making and things like that." (n)(n)

What a tosser.......

The difference between Poch's and my knowledge in relation to managing a club is just margins? Fancy me not realising I was up there with Poch. I guess I must have missed my vocation in life. Does that mean I can ask the missus for an increase in my pocket money?:LOL:

Story from Peter Crouch’s book in the paper today....When Sol was at Portsmouth he used to have a massage for two hours before the game started. Only finishing just before kick off. He commandeered the two physios...one for each leg. This stopped anyone else getting a massage. When someone complained he looked up and said ...when you’ve got 70 caps for England come back and talk about it.
Also when he was at Spurs no one had his mobile number, not even his managers . He is just not a people person. Could be another half time walk out!.

Edit...it was before training not the match.

Ideal for management then!
