Thought he did really well. His pass to set up Mason was pure genius. No apology required as far as I'm concerned. Give him a run Poch.

He is a brilliant penalty taker. One of the best in the world imo.
No worries on that part of his game.

His confidence is shot. But he seems as eager as anyone not to let his head drop. Needs a run. It's vital he's given an opportunity to atone for the miss.

Why on Earth would he feel the need to apologise? There were far worse players on the pitch in our colours than him.

I think because it would have drawn us level and potentially cause a more positive outcome for us, but atleast through apologising it shows he cares, not that I think he needs to apologise though.

He is another player like Holtby who has underperformed consistently but knows how to use social media to his advantage to keep the fans onside.

An apology here some pics of baby clothes there and it doesn't matter how many I miss or how poor I play for 18mths someone will always find an excuse to cover me

He should start a run of games in my opinion. I think he played well and linked up superbly with Eriksen and Chadli.

I don't think it matters. Ade's confidence is shot because no matter how well he plays he know the fans deep down just don't like him. With Soldado he simply just can't handle the Prem. I don't dislike the guys character and would love to be proved wrong but he's had runs in the team already and sadly displayed the same inability to score.

Either way, it's back to mid table for Spurs this year...yay.

Problem with Soldado (and Lamela) is that he is a wonderfully technical player who thrives at a less physical league such as the Spanish and Italian. But against better sides in the EPL, he will be frustrating to watch as he doesn't have the power or the acceleration of a Aguero. I think Baldini didn't have the proper understanding of our league when he made all those purchases at the beginning of last season.

No apology needed. The simple truth is that if he had scored his penalty, he may have been our MOTM. The miss was down to his confidence and dropping him before a run of 3 games would be disastrous for him.

He is so much more integrated with our 3 attacking mids than Adebayor. Better positional awareness, better passer, quicker feet.

Allegedly it was AVB that pushed for Paulinho, Soldado and Capoue and the other 4 who were Baldini's signings. Either way it was a clusterfuck of a transfer window for us not just in terms of the quality we bought but also the quantity of players we tried to integrate in one window.

Would be harsh to drop him after the saved pen when you consider Ade has also missed/scuffed some great opportunities to score. I believe Poch will do the right thing and play Soldado against Newcastle. I remember hearing that Poch and the coaching staff watched the Liverpool game over 20 times to see what went wrong, i think he'll go over the Manc game and see the positive things Soldado did.
