A lil update on Poulsen, courtesy of f365

'SVEN GOES BACK ON THE POUL'
Thanks to The Sun for that headline, who claim that Man Citeh have made a £7million bid for Sevilla midfielder Christian Poulsen.

The paper reports that the bid matches Poulsen's buy-out clause, and that the player's representatives 'have already presented the deal to Seville'.

Poulsen himself issued an absolutely textbook 'come-and-get-me plea', as you can see: "I am happy in Seville but the club has to decide on this issue."

If the Super Soaraway is correct that Poulsen has a £7 million buy-out clause, then I'm pretty certain he'll be a Spurs player by January. The only fly in the ointment is that Man City coming in means they'll offer him crazy wages which we'll have to match. Also his date of birth, 28/2/80 won't exactly thrill Levy, but at 27 he's still got 4-5 good seasons in him.

Also, I woudn't entirely diss the Jenas for Arteta rumours. Arteta has spent a couple of seasons learning how to play in the EPL, whilst as a Spaniard he'll understand Ramos' tactics and desire to keep hold of the ball. He's exactly the type of player Ramos would logically go for.

So, Poulsen alongside Arteta in CM - that would put a smile on Juande's face.

However, getting Arteta out of Everton will be harder than getting Poulsen out of Sevilla...

Ramos sets his sights on Poulsen as Spurs look to strengthen
Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has made Christian Poulsen his top transfer-window target.

The Sevilla midfielder, also wanted by Manchester City, could be reunited with his old manager for £7m.

Wanted: Poulsen (left) and Alves (sliding) have been linked with a move to Spurs

Ramos' former employers have already warned the new Spurs chief to forget about trying to lure Fredi Kanoute and Daniel Alves to White Hart Lane. But the Spaniard is unlikely to be put off a move for Poulsen after admitting his squad needs bolstering following the weekend draw with Middlesbrough.

Man City are likely to be in the uefa cup and can pay higher wages than us....but we have Ramos.

Its going to be a long long winding road until the end of the transfer window.
We surely cannot start getting hooked this early.
We must pace ourselves better !

The most stupid thread. We have Tainio who is better than Poulsen. Anyone who has seen both of them play agrees. Youtube can make anyone look good...
