He’s the only player that takes you off your seat expecting something to come out of nothing. Great to have someone like him in his prime.

It's true he is very underrated, I mean he's not spoken about constantly in the same breath as Hazard, Sanchez or Coutinho even though he outscored all Coutinho last season and is outscoring all three this season. Maybe something to do with nationality as in people think that maybe a guy from South Korea couldn't possibly be as talented as a guy from South America or something I dunno.

They all play for higher profile clubs, if Son played for them he'd be noticed.

I'm happy if others don't rate him, as long as we don't fall into the same trap. He's been very good this season, since he got in & long may it continue.

Media cycle...

Spurs find underrated gem......... Spurs develop into a great player....... Player now to good for Spurs and their shit wage structure........ Player needs to leave to become a "top" player.

Such bullshit.

Dele Alli get praised to high heaven by the mainstream media, I don't think it's much to do with the club they play for.
He's young and English, that's why. There is always a premium on those kind of players.

Exactly my point.
But you're are saying it's because he's South Korean, infering there is racism involved. Maybe that case can be made against The Sun and their ilk but not the BBC and other respected media.

Nah not inferring that, or not trying to infer that, more an under-appreciation of players from different backgrounds.

Son is improving. He was good...now he is very very good. The move up a gear has been over the last 5 or so matches He's benefiting from a good run in the team. The external world are just starting to realise that - the acclaim will grow - and then unfortunately interest from the bigger European clubs.

Fear not, I think he is more loyal than many of the mercenaries around.

Articles like this suggest he's not underrated, or at least won't be for much longer. And then the media will be linking him with a move away.
