Son Heung-min has said Tottenham must 'stick' with Antonio Conte amid mounting criticism over the Italian's approach to games. Tottenham drew 0-0 with Frankfurt in the Champions League on Tuesday, a result that keeps their hopes of emerging from the group very much alive but is their fourth game on the road without a win.

Son is not in a position to insist on sacrifices and hard things to anyone, right after another poor game.
Why can't these players reflect on their own performances?

He can if he's including himself among the group of players who need to sacrifice more.

Yes, 'I must sacrifice and do the hard things' would have been a reasonable promise to everyone. And more specifically to do more pressing and defensive work. And not get the hump when he is rotated for a game.

It is very much in Son's interest that we stick with the counter attack strategy with 2 in midfield. He needs to do more to make it work.

He's been one of the biggest culprits. He makes token runs to get back into defence but then just lets players run or pass right by him. No real desire to actually win the ball. Not sure if that's a symptom of fatigue or confidence but he needs to wake up
