4 great lines from him saying how much he wanted to come and play for us and Poch, and just one(unless Son speaks about himself in 3rd person) where it's clearly his agent saying it is a starting point for him in the Prem.

Great. So if he's OK for us he’ll be sticking around for a good few years and if he's really good and the 'big 4’ look at him he’ll be off in 2 seasons time after really pushing for his next move, probably to his dream club that he supported as a young boy.

These players and agents would be far better keeping their mouths shut. It's so boring how much they love their clubs and managers

Do your talking on the pitch, keep your head down and maybe you'll get your next move

As I said, don't think I'll be rushing out for the shirt

In all honesty any player that didn't want to be the very best and play for the Elite clubs wouldn't be one I wanted anyway. IMO all of our players should be wanting to reach the very pinnacle of the game and that will never be us.

Incredible, he's only just signed and some are already looking for an excuse to be negative about him.

Most definitely won't be us if we sell our best player every year or so when a 'bigger club comes along and offers us a dizzying amount....

Maybe your right, maybe it should be Levy I should be angry about showing no ambition in really going for it. Why should any player want to stay at Tottenham?

He won't get a move to a bigger club. He's not that good imo.
I think he'll do very good for us, but nothing extraordinary.

He's not a lead guitar, he's a reliable rhythm guitar. But one that we seriously needed. A consistent performer. We have too many players capable of doing spectacular things but they are too inconsistent. He'll be to us like Park was to Ferguson's Man U. Maybe more.
All in all a good signing

You could say exactly the same about just about any club other than Barca, Madrid, and to some extent Bayern. fact is when those clubs come knocking even the likes of Yanited can't withstand the arm twisting for long.

I'm not so sure that's true, when he signed Leverkusen fans were saying that a lack of consistency was one of his biggest shortcomings. He had a great strike rate for them playing off the wing, and when he was on his game was unplayable, but he also had a tendency to go missing. At least that seemed to be the consensus of Leverkusen supporters on reddit.

i want players who wants to play for big clubs. i want players who wants to play for a CL club. the only difference is that whether he will achieve that with, or without us.I honestly dont want a player that has no ambition to be in our club. its these kind of players that can break us into the top four. if he wants to be scouted by a top club then he first has to become a top player for us. within that process we should try our best to become a top club ourselves. in the end if we made it, win win. but even if fail and they leave, i dont think we should ever complain.

Given the hundreds of players you could have chosen to compare him with, I wonder what made you come up with Park. Interesting.

Here is a google translated version of an article in Kicker about how Leverkusen's offense became crap this season after Son's departure:

Son's heirs: The worst odds of League

Chance utilization of Leverkusen has halved

For years, Bayer is 04 for attractive and successful attack football. But in the current season and the Werkself disseminated only limited fear: No other team in the league is so wasteful with his opportunities.

Eight goals after eight games - a record that will not quite fit to the propagated by Roger Schmidt attacking football in Leverkusen. For comparison: Elapsed playing time of the Champions League hopefuls had already made at the appropriate time, twice as many hits.

A glance at the list shows scorer: Bayer missing the clippers. Although all offensives have already met this season in the league, but just once each. Only the 19-year-old Julian Brandt comes on two hits and is therefore Leverkusen's most dangerous player.

The key difference with last year is statistically the chance of recovery: Leverkusen will continue to play the fourth-most scoring chances in the league out. However, after 29 percent the previous season utilizes Bayer 04 currently only half as many of the options, namely 14.3 percent. This is the negative value of the league.
Bell Arabi - to Central?

If one sees the play of Schmidt-Eleven, it is noticeable that the team just come off the immensely dynamic, yet prolific outside of the preseason. At that time, Karim Bellarabi had scored eight league games already four hits - as many as Heung-Min Son has a fantastic latter now for Tottenham and was successfully three times in five games.. Bell Arabi, last season mostly used on the right wing, now engages mostly around a central attacker around in the center - with less effect.

People are more likely to understand the German version than this.
