Heung-Min Son will miss up to four games for Tottenham Hotspur after he was called up to the South Korea squad for the AFC Asian Cup in January 2019. The tournament takes place between January 5 and February 1 in the United Arab Emirates with 24 nations taking part. The South Korean international will not be able to play in the second leg of Spurs' Carabao Cup semi-final with Chelsea.

I could have sworn we let him go to the Asia games competition at the beginning of the season in a deal that meant he wasn't involved in this...maybe not then or was it a different competition?

He got rested for the November internationals. Hopefully gets knocked out of this, the stakes are no longer so high.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Why can't these tournaments take place at the end of the season? Players are still in good condition & the nightmarish effects of a possible injury are not as keenly felt by their parent clubs.

This has surely got to force the hand of Levy to look at signing another wide-forward. Should Douglas Costa be available, then surely we should be in for him. He's exciting to watch & could be that 'stardust' player we so desperately need.

Well, he should start in all our games before he goes ahead of Lucas and Lamela

Now he's out of national service surely he can tell them to fuck right off!

Seems in character for Son too :cautious:
Can't Poch steal his passport? or get him to commit a low level crime so he's unable to leave the country until after his trial...

so it took him so many matches following his return last summer to get back to form, the moment he hits form, he's off again.

Bloody hell man:mad:
