Didn't create enough to shots on goal for all of our possession, so was surprised we scored twice against such a tight defence! On the downside, we gift-wrapped them both of their goals, which is so frustrating, but all so Spursy.

I was impressed with Chadli. He is quite a physical force and caused them problems.

Played ok but struggled too create much...no service to kane really all game.
Gifted their first goal and second should have been dealt with before the cross came in and then again fazio with his height should have done much better.

Feel for Davis with that injury...However never seen such a one footed player....SO MANY times he was stuck because he was afraid to use his right foot....specially for the first goal....a simple right footed pass out for a corner....nope tried to shift his body position which allowed them in.

Can't see how anyone at this level who's on that much money can't use both feet.!!!

Just watched Martin Keown on MOTD, and he lauded MP's work. He also said something else I agree with: we should not have sold Siggy. Of course, we had to listen to the usual tropes from Shearer about whether the stats say that Soton got the better deal and whether Spurs should have kept Sherwood. Neither of these actually take any context into consideration, eg the set-up at Soton was far better than at Spurs; the set-up at Spurs was an utter mess for MP to sort out, which he has gone a long way towards doing. I thought we did well to come back, which has been the main achievement of Poch: we appear to be developing a backbone.

Davies was a weak link, but obviously a shame that he got injured. Now he probably won't have a chance to redeem himself before Rose comes back.

As for MP, I think that he still has a bit to prove as a tactician. Lots of positives of course with his personality and his training techniques, but I'm still not sure that he actually has a plan B in a game. We were horse crap against Villa a couple of weeks ago and he didn't do anything in that game to address it. It reminded me of how stubborn AVB was with his fixed formations and game plans. I've seen that happen quite a bit this season.

Hopefully I'm wrong and we really kick on next season, but we'll just have to see!

Plenty of better players than him are even more one footed.
Make your own list but some are top class internationals.
Makes you wonder how much better they would be with two feet.
Maradona and Messi come to mind but a two footed Messi is a frightening thought.

Messi would probably be worse.

This x1000. Even if we manage to improve our player options we will have plenty of games where we need tactical flexibility. My biggest concern with Poch is that this never seems to be anywhere on his agenda. Makes us the simplest of teams to prepare for.

Tactical flexibility is made easier when you have players with the right skill sets. Ours are very similar, so there are fewer options.
