Pathetic, came out like it was won for the second half.

What a bunch of losers.

Sooner this season is done the better, serious decisions need to be made about our squad in summer

Well we'll end up 3rd going into the international break, just. By creating such a lead over Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea we gave ourselves a chance to slip up and still stay 3rd. I wasn't expecting this big a fuck up though. Momentum is everything in football and we've totally lost it in the league lately, not knowing where the next win will come from. I hope they come back in 3 weeks a totally different team because this is one I don't recognise.

If we miss out on top 4 after creating such a lead as we did it will be our biggest capitulation yet. Not just under Poch but any manager in the Premier League era.

No excuses.

Incredibly complacent performance in the 2nd half - and once they scored, we never looked like getting anything from the game. That's down to character and mentality. This team doesn't have it.

Players and manager equally to blame.

We have taken a significant step backwards this season - only in top 4 because of lack of draws. In any other season, with 9 defeats in 30 games, you'd be fighting for 6th or 7th. Don't be blinded by progress in the Champions League, the only thing this team is world class at is making excuses.

It’s not like those 2 players are getting us Champions League so what difference does it make if they stay. This team has run its course. Time to rebuild.
Out of form or not. They’re class players. Losing them for relatively small fees is poor.

I love Poch I do not want him sacked or to leave. But why, just why, does he always wait until the 70th minute to make a change when it is obvious for 25 minutes we need a change of some sort. You can set your watch to Poch substituting.

Our squad is so poor.

KWP was really poor today whilst Lucas was fucking dreadful in the second half.

Why do we wait 20 mins in to the second half to make changes?

We never react to opposition changes and it’s such a fucking arrogant approach.

Is it now? It's pretty much the same squad that played fantastic football last season...

Something has changed and I'm done defending the players. The quality is obviously there considering we completely outplayed Southampton in the first half, but the mental fortitude or whatever you want to call is gone.

I agree with the sentiment here and a lot of posters have already said it well: it was extremely arrogant to go two windows without strengthening the team. The EPL is so competitive nowadays that you need to reassess and develop every single season. We've failed to do so and we have stagnated.

If we manage to secure top four after this I will be surprised. Europa leauge in the new stadium would be a major kick in the balls. And a massive let down considering how far we've come these last years.

If we want to be a big club, we need a big club mentality, people have the right to be upset and ott after what we just witnessed, doesnt mean they wont support. We pay the highest tickets in the league, why should we settle for less?

That's nowt to do with the players though. We are not the biggest club in the league, nor do we have the biggest resources. Very, very few of us have ever seen an era where Tottenham was the biggest team going, so I don't get quite where that expectation comes from or why those fans who think we have a right to it support us to be honest. I'm a Spurs fan because it was my dad's team, I was a Spurs fan in the 90s when things were truly depressing, and I'll still be a Spurs fan whether we're in the Champions League or League Two. Criticise those in charge for the ticket prices - I certainly have done - but get behind the team, otherwise what's the point?

I still have no idea how their first goal got through three defenders. I cant really remember a worse display of defending in a long time.

Top 4 is likely gone and as such, I could unfortunately see anything happening this summer. Madrid coming for Poch. Madrid coming for Kane too. And without the CL revenue, maybe Levy says fine. I'm guessing it will affect the naming rights too.

Can't see a ton of players brought in as well. Does anyone really two FBs, two CMs, and an attacker, not to mention third GK will all be bought? Maybe two of those things, but can't see all of them.
Really depressing two weeks here.

A bloody pathetic 2nd half performance. Poch has got his work cut out now and don't think we'll make top 4 now. 1 point from 12 makes us bottom of the form guide for last 4 matches.

3 bloody away defeats in a row, when we did have the best away record in the top 5 leagues a few weeks back. Now we wait 3 weeks for our next match which is away to Scousers, so make that 4 away defeats in a row.

This is what happens when you don't invest on the pitch. Who f'ing cares about off the pitch investment when we dish up crap on it?
Indeed, we needed a couple in to upset the hierarchy.

When we lose at anfield it will be played 5 lost 4 drawn 1. At the business end of the season. WTF. We'll be munched in the battle for top 4...very very unlikely. Fuming with that.

I dont want anyone complaining when we are called both Spursy and legends, but both titles do apply

I disagree - we're not legends - we've never been good enough.

Have punched above our weight a lot in recent times, has made us look significantly better than we are, and has made it look like we've had genuine chances of success whereas realistically we were always some distance away.

No investment means players have stopped pushing themselves.
