Gareth Southgate says he was impressed by England captain Harry Kane's reaction to being left out of Thursday's 1-0 loss to Belgium.

I dont think there was a need for southgate to talk about kane's attitude on being left out. Shouldve just kept quiet instead of making himself look like he needed to treat harry carefully and worry about harrys reaction, whih he should not, as a manager.
Theres always more than one way to avoid that question instead of no comment mate. The art of deflecting questions trained upon many public figures so they get their key message across. Theyre all trained for this and that woukd surely include the England manager.Do you not think that maybe, just maybe, he was asked that question directly by a journalist? Would you prefer he had said no comment, in which case they would've been all over 'the disharmony in the England dressing room'?

Of course if we beat Columbia, then Southgate will be proved right.
If we lose then he's a turnip.
I'd have hedged my bets a little and played Kane and a couple of other extra A teamers for a half.
Obvs want Kane to get golden boot but think you're unfair on Ronaldo. He's driven, and works hard to try to always be the best. We're not talking about someone like Neymar here. Anything I've seen of him outside of football and often in, is positive with him doing admirable things, helping people and aiding charity work including MILLIONS in donations from his own money.I would absolutely love Harry to beat C Ronaldo to the golden boot. They are like polar opposites. Harry is so down to earth and just an all round decent lad whereas Ronaldo is all about being a prima donna and everything has to be about him. Despise the greasy git.
