This weeks results see possibly the strangest market moves i've ever seen in the Premiership Points Index .

It's not unheard of for a team to win and see no improvement in their price but it's not common. Chelsea at Home to Burnley for instance or a similar top team vs whipping boys encounter might see both teams quotes unchanged. What is very unusual is when a team beats a team that is currently 2nd in the table yet doesn't see it's quote go up. What is absolutely unheard of is for the team that lost to gain a full point from it . This is what happened after our victory over Southampton; we stayed unchanged while the Saints gained a point. I thought this was an error at first but SPIN have had the international break to correct it and they haven't. I can only say WTF??? :wtf:

Southampton increase their lead as the best buy while Chelsea and Swansea are tied for 2nd. Leicester's home draw with Burnley sees them fall back to 4th.

The Barcodes remain the best sell despite gaining half a pt for their draw at Swansea but Man Utd drop out of the worst performing teams medal table which now sees QPR in silver while Arsenal tie with Eveton for the bronze.

Southampton's 8-0 thrashing of Sunderland sees the Saints the biggest gainers of the week with a 2.5 pts rise. The Black Cats meanwhile drop 1.5 pts. This seems to indicate that as far as spread traders are concerned it was more a case of Southampton being very good than Sunderland being bad. Personally while it was definitely a bit of both I think Sunderland were truly awful. They seemed to throw in the towel after being on the wrong end of a terrible refereeing decision that should have seen the Saints GK sent off and a penalty awarded that could have seen the score leveled. Good news for the Saints (& my fantasy team ) but bad for Gus Poyet's legends.

Talking of bad referees, we were never going to beat Jonathan Moss at the Etihad despite a decent attacking display. The loss sees us fall another pt but with a run of very winnable games coming up if you were thinking of buying Spurs pts then this looks an optimal time. The sellers have been piling into Spurs since our loss against WBA and we look decent value now.

Also on the up are West Ham who gain 2 pts after their away win at Burnley who drop 1.5 pts. Stoke only gain 0.5 after a good win vs Swansea but the Swans drop a full 1.5 pts and are now tied with the Hammers in the markets. Other big losers are Man Utd and Arsenal who fall 1.5 pts after unimpressive draws.

Southampton remain the outstanding buy of the season at an impressive +15; Chelsea stay 2nd at +6 while West Ham are the new bronze medalists on +4.5.

Arsenal and QPR are tied at -6.5 as the best sell while Man Utd are back on the shitlist at -6. Newcastle go from being last week's worst performers against expectation to no worse than us with a 1.5 pt gain after their 1-0 home win over Leicester.

After our pathetic capitulation at home to the Barcodes we are now officially the worst performing team in the Premiership (tied with Man Utd) :(. Burnley take 3rd place on the shitlist but the biggest fallers of the week are Man City who drop 2.5 pts after losing at Upton Park.

At the other end of the spectrum Southampton go from strength to strength and are now at +17 :wideyed:. West Ham are the next best buy after moving up 3.5pts for their home win. Obviously this is a reassessment of their potential rather than just the result.

With literally thousands of different markets available every day it's a bad policy to trade on ones you think are slightly wrong. You can afford to wait for markets where you think the quoted spread is very wrong. TBH the best bet is to specialise in an obscure market they are not paying much attention to.
By not by much I meant 3-5 points, but the jammy bastards have been doing better than that :(
If it's any consolation, IMO Spurs do look tasty at the moment!

Really agree with you about MMA betting. Have made use of ridiculous UFC odds on more than one occasion (last time the Rick Story fight).

The biggest moves this week saw Newcastle and WBA rise 2.5pts and the Red Scouse drop 2.5 pts. Our rather fortunate victory at Villa Park saw us gain a pt but the underlying performance wasn't very encouraging :(. Nonetheless a win is a win and we are now tied for 3rd place on the shitlist with the mighty Burnley .

Liverpool devoid of S&S and with the Fuckyouupintheleague Cup to contend with take 2nd prize in the race to underperform while Man Utd show why if you have £150M to spend it's probably not a good idea to totally ignore your defence :ROFLMAO:.

Southampton go from strength to strength :notworthy:. It looks like we've just watched Shergar win the Derby by 10 lengths and decided to buy the jockey :banghead:. They've got a tough run of fixtures coming up but barring the entire squad coming down with Ebola they look nailed on to be team of the season.

Also performing well are West Ham  who at +8 are the Yohan Blake to the Saint's Usain Bolt. Swansea and Chelsea are in the photo finish for bronze at +6.
