Hires a couple of security guards. A company can't be held to account for outsiders breaking the law can they? As long as they show they have reasonably tried to stop it from happening again there wouldn't be grounds to tear up a contract.

Lawyers are going to have fun.
This is uk health and safety law.

  • The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
Employers must consider the risks to employees (including the risk of reasonably foreseeable violence); decide how significant these risks are; decide what to do to prevent or control the risks; and develop a clear management plan to achieve this.
Assuming that Portuguese law is the same, if the employers failed to take these steps. It looks like they failed to provide proper security.

I think he had something to do with it but that will have to be proven. I dunno it has to be proven that the club was aware of the danger and didn't do enough to protect the players.

As i said it will be up to the lawyers and judge.
It looks like the players have a case no?

Yep, I'm just thinking of another way that they could force a move if the termination due to breach of contract doesn't work.

There must be something written into the contract saying it can be terminated in certain conditions though? Or is this just covered in their legal rights?

Does anyone know what evidence there is linking the chairman with the attacks?
There have been new guidelines set out pertaining to the legal rights of the player that have to now be written into the contract.. for example a player can no longer be sent to train alone or with underage teams if they are a first team squad member.. these were only put in force this summer but clubs were told any January deals had to include amended legal rights of player..

Podence is one we should be looking at. Similar to Hazard but way quicker.

Just seen he’s playing for Olympiakos right now against Burnley. Has been okay at best thus far, but playing against Burnley is shite for everybody.
