The shortlist for Sports Personality of the Year 2022 has been announced.
Jessica Gadirova - Gymnastics (World Championship floor Gold)
Beth Mead - Football (Golden Ball, Player of Championships, Winner Euros)
Eve Muirhead - Curling (Winter Olympics Team Gold)
Ronnie O'Sullivan - Snooker (Seventh World Championship)
Ben Stokes - Cricket (Rescuing Test Cricket, General Craziness)
Jake Wightman - Athletics (1500m World Championship Gold)
Feel it's going to be between Beth Mead and Ben Stokes, but think winning the Euro's is more easily understood as an achievement than a 3-0 whitewash away against Pakistan, and the emergence of 'Bazball'. So if I was betting, I'd go for Beth Mead.
