Spurs’ title challenge is a fairytale too – but don’t shout about it

Tottenham winning the Premier League would be almost as remarkable as a triumph for Leicester City.

Nice article. Almost as low key an article as Spurs are being low key about our chances. There's a sense that this Sunday could be crucial, and certainly how Leicester do at the Emirates and we do at the Etihad will make things look clearer at 6 p.m. on Sunday. But I think there are many twists and turns to come yet. There are 39 points still to play for (that's as many as West Ham in 6th place have so far). Unless the wheels come off for any of the top 4, this title will go down to the last couple of matches, maybe even the final Sunday. Being 'under the media radar' as far as possible, for as long as possible, is the best place to be.

I was surprised to read this from Amy Lawrence, a known Gooner. If Henry Winter, also a Gooner, joins in then I will know it's part of the conspiracy to stop us.

A nice article, really. It captures the sentiment surrounding our somewhat surprising presence at the top of the league quite well. I do disagree with the subheading though. Should Leicester win the title it will be much more of a fairytale than if we pull it off seeing as we have been in and around the top four/five for many seasons now.

As I've posted elsewhere, given our chances of finishing in the Top 4 this season, I hope we give the Europa League far less priority than usual from this point on.

Any girl who says nice things about my team goes a long way towards getting a good rodgering, gooner or not. LOL.

I'm sure she'd be thrilled to hear so, in fact that's probably why she wrote the article, to notch up points in hopes to get a "good rodgering" by Jenko...

Shows how low our reputation as a club has sunk over the past 20 odd years when the prospect of Tottenham Hotspur winning some honours is seen as a 'remarkable' achievement and we are placed at the same status level as Leicester City.

20 years ago we hadn't won the title for 35 years.

To be honest, reads like a bandwagon article. Nothing original.

I agree and pretty condescending to be honest.

I'm not surprised that we are where we are and I don't think Hugo, Dele, Jan etc are either, that's why they are here. Hugo would be at PSG or Real or whatever if he wasn't convinced that we were ambitious. This is what Levy has been working towards for the past 10 years or so, it's just come a couple of seasons earlier than everyone expected, it's not a freak of nature like the Leicester run.

Don't put Leicester's effort down please 'myheartlane'.

After the last few days of creaming over the current leaders, god forbid if we win the title, its not ours to win, they have already etched Lesters name on the trophy.
