Lovely left foot and getting up much more and putting crosses in; just needs to regain his composure at the back, He's a much more stable defender than he's suggested in his play so far and was as cool as a cucumber for swansea from what I've seen.

Let's see how he goes this season.

Unfortunate timing for him. Rose has become a decent player for us and deserves to be in the team. I bet Davies is regretting the move. Without decent game time I can't see him breaking into the first team.

Rose has only become decent because Davies is here though.;) Has to actually focus and think about what he's doing now instead of making it up as he goes along.

Davies will come good as well, not had much match time and needs to settle.

And we should remember that poch was an Argentinian international defender so Davies has a good chance of getting back to his Swansea form and developing further.

A good buy for the club even it is so far only because it appears he has made Rose up his game

He is getting to play a significant number of games, albeit in the League Cup, and the Europa League. The latter is now an important competition given the fact that there is now the added Champions League place for the winners.

His arrival has led to Rose upping his game and on current form Rose deserves the nod for Premier League starts, healthy competition for places is no bad thing, and all the time he is playing competitive games whether in the Europa League or League Cup he has a chance to prove he should get a Premier League start, and for this he need look no further than Mason for inspiration as he has recently seized his chance after impressing first in non Prenier League games.

I credit the manager for Rose's improved form, not Davies.

Naughton and Dier have also been better than expected.

I have never thought this to be true. I have seen a fair bit of Swansea over the last couple of years and he's come here doing much the same - he switches off and its far too easy at times to play around him and get in behind. I got stick all summer for saying that Davies had a lot to learn and was defensively no better (and arguably worse) than Rose, and, that although they are both about the same level of prospect, Rose was possibly more suited to the style of play. It shouldn't be a great shock that he hasn't got in the team in my opinion.
