Not sure it makes sense to name our best XI players; they are all good and the knack is to play to their strengths, which may not be entirely compatible. On this basis I would offer up three different possible starting XIs, each of which has some startling exclusions. The shape of the team should be dictated by the form and fitness of players and the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition.

Our most important player right now is Adebayor hands down as we have no replacement for him.

Parker is probably second (or at least one of him or Sandro) as we desperately need one or both in the centre.

I was about to post the same message about Adebayor. Most other players have someone who can come in and replace them, even if not quite as good. With Ade, who do we have? Not so Super Pav who's form at best as been very poor.
