Not top quality opposition, but you can only beat what they put in front of you. Beat them they did Iin style. I only saw the highlights but liked the goals. All looked good. Loved the 2nd Chadli goal. Really looking like a team growing in confidence.

Interesting comment he made in the presser after the game along the lines of 'we go into the second half as if we're at nil-nil'.

Exactly the type of attitude we need to have. The job is not over until it's over.

Must say Poch's ticking all the boxes for me

This Pochettino philosophy is getting me excited. Then when he adds " I know the way Spurs have played in their history, and I want to play that way and keep the link with the fans" , well he has got me believing as it seems the team. Quite simply we were outstanding against QPR. As good as we attacked today it was the play of Capoue and Bentaleb that gave the opposition nothing, how many times did these guys go into tackles today and come away with the ball allowing us the opportunity to counter. Every time Lamela got the ball you could hear the anticipation in the stands. Whatever happens this year the future looks bright for this young team. Is it me or do they all look bigger, faster and stronger this year. COYS.

Loved every second of the game - haven't been this excited about Spurs for quite some time.
With regards to Liverpool, it's payback time for our fans for last year's humiliation. I hope we go into the game absolutely determined and play them off the pitch.

A tremendous display from the team. Apart from the attack, in which Lamela and Eriksen were superb, I really enjoyed the control Capoue and Bentaleb enjoyed in midfield. In fact, Bentaleb was so good that when he was replaced by Dembele there was a noticeable drop in control in that area.

I also want to mention Dier's performance. He looked very, very good at right back. Certainly better than Naughton and not much between him and Walker.... and I am not talking about his goal. I am talking about his defensive abilities. A nice problem for Poch.

Rose also played well. The best I have seen from him since he played for Sunderland.

A very, very uplifting first home game of the season. we played a great pressing game winning back possession very quickly - and to my surprise Lamela was maybe the most efficient ballwinner. Great movement going forward and we were solid at the back apart from a Kaboul howler at 1-0 and a bit of complacency towards the end. Overall an excellent start to the season and hopefully a sign of things to come.
The only real disappointment to me was the mass exodus of "fans" in the last 5 minutes. It ruined the atmosphere at the end of the game, and the team certainly deserved better yesterday. Hopefully the atmosphere will improve with the opposition - we need the Lane to be louder if we want it to become a fortress again.

I went and watched the game for a 2nd time to see why so many people are saying Bentaleb was not good. I really don't get it - Watching the 2nd time really highlighted how much he was involved and he really did some awesome stuff. Sure he had a few poor passes, but he was way better than Dembele when he came on and deserves his spot in the run on team.
Now lets hope we can rest most players for the Liverpool game, we should be able to win or draw mid week with our 2nd squad.

Only watched the highlights on T.V. but very impressed.........
My question as to how good a team they are is: can they play the same way against the better teams in the Prem? As has been said already, you can only play what is in front of you, but when they do line up against the likes of Liverpool and Man. City I really hope they can play the same way, win or lose.
It's great to be excited about the team, but I'm still just a little sceptical......sorry.

I agree and there was a noticeable drop off when Dembele came on (not being critical of dembele either). Bentaleb makes some errors but he tries things and attempts dangerous balls which I personally love to see.

Big shout to Capoue who I thought was terrific, crunching into challenges and then running forward to ignite an attack with the ball at his feet. Great sight.

Exciting times indeed. The Liverpool game is just what we need to see where we are at.

He was good positionally and in the tackles but mislaid passes 2 or 3 times. But him and Capoue were the important cogs in that midfield. I dont agree that Lamela and Eriksen were superb. Encouraged for Lamela with an improved prem performance, pressing and tackling and the assist will do his confidence bags of good. But I dont back him to beat a man at the moment, he does sometimes stumble through but the next man will get him and I think he would be better getting his head up after the stumble and laying it rather than run into someone else who inevitably gets the ball. Good free kick but I still dont think Eriksen is at his best at the moment. Very good game from Ade and I am one of his knockers when he does in my eyes the wrong things. I felt both full backs were excellent and Rose has shut his knockers up with his performances, but they will be back at the first mistake. In the prem you dont win 4-0 by being lucky or a bad side (though I remember Fulham starting with a big win last season), however I dont think we should start getting over exited yet as Liverpool and our other direct competition wont set up with such disorganisation and woeful finishing as QPR.

Strange. I felt there was a short period of maybe 10 to 15 minutes in the second half when we seemed to be trying to catch second wind and we couldn't string 3 passes together.

But we were back to overwhelming them after weathering that difficult period.
