Been a while since I last posted this so thought I would do so again for those that haven't seen it before.

Excellent video with good interviews, great highlights and rare footage.

Can't recommend it enough. :)

One question I would like to ask is how on earth Marc Falco gets into the top 50 Spurs players of all time ??? Very average player with an average scoring record when surrounded by good players. On the other hand John Duncan who played in poor Spurs teams had a way superior scoing record. There was 1 video I couldn't view but unless he was on that one I cannot see how anyone would justify Falco's inclusion but not Duncan's

Falco had to work hard to get into a great side.I wouldnt actually call him average. Falco was a decent goal scorer, considering he had to fight Crooks,Brazil,Arichie for a place. It Still brings as smile to my face ,whenever i think about his volley against the Scum and the winner against Bayern.
Falco got a hard time because he was a youth player.
If he was about now,he`d be worth 25+ million.

Spent a couple of hours watching all of these.

Great to hear more about our great players from the past. I have to admit to not knowing much about any of our 50s era players, so these vids were fantastic for that.

Also loved the sections on Gilzean and Mackay. Those two are players I learnt all about when I was around eleven or twelve..after being given some books on Spurs for Christmas back in 1991 (when I was 11). Reading the descriptions as a kid, they were the two that really caught my imagination (Greaves was on an almost mythical level, and therefore not really up for consideration).

Hoddle was before my time as well. However I was fully aware of how magical a player he was for us. I remember seeing a video of some of his goals for us and being blown away. I would have loved to have seen him in his prime.

This sort of stuff really does bring a cheerful tear to my eye when hearing about the players that have been bewitched by the spell that is Tottenham Hotspur. Gilzean sums it up perfectly. The club is more than just a football team...it's an ethos, a way of life...a dream. We're not about soulless trophies, but about dramatic, ambitious feats. We're not about points at all costs, but about glorious entertainment.

I love everything about this club, and that includes every element of our rich history. Long may it continue.

In the end I was able to see all the videos and to make it easy here is the list
50. Bennett 49 King 48 England 47 Falco 46 Galvin 45 Coates 44 Clemence 43 Crooks 42 Hopkins 41 henry
40 Baker 39 Les Allen 38 Peters 37 Knowles 36 Hughton 35 Keane 34 Medwin 33 Dyson32 Baily 31 Villa
30 Mullery 29 Lineker 28 Ditchburn 27 Archibald 26 Chivers 25 Clive Allen 24 Norman 23 Waddle 22 Ginola 21 Duquemin
20 Brown 19 Roberts 18 Harmer 17 Ramsey 16 Mabbutt 15 Klinsmann 14 Sheringhm 13 Gascoigne 12 Gilzean 11 White
10 Jennings 9 Smith 8. jones 7.Ardiles 5. Perryman 4. Hoddle 3. mackay 2. Greaves 1 Blanchflower

Given that I only started from the mid 60s it is difficult to comment on the players before that but most of it seems pretty logical. Except as I said Falco should never have made it and I would have included both Duncan and Berbatov.plus Alfie
Conn.

Other than that, King is ridiculously low at 49, Roberts too high at 19 and I would have Jennings in the top 5.

Since this was obviously done a couple of years ago I think Modric and Bale would now have to be included and in the near future Lloris.

My top 10 would have been ( I cannot include Burgess, Smith or Blanchflower because I didn't see them.)

1. Greaves 2. Mackay 3. Hoddle 4.Jennings 5. Klinsmann 6. Ardiles 7. Gascoigne 8. Gilzean. 9. King 10. Mabbutt

No Lennon ?

It's arguable that Lennon deserves to be on the list as much as Ralph Coates

I didn't include Perryman in my top 10 because being a great servant to the club doesn't mean he was the best ever. In my opinion Mabbutt and King were both technically better in CD and Perryman in midfield was a solid holding player. I isn't think he was that good at RB. Top 20 yes but not top 10.

But you think Jennings was, Perryman was a leader played in our worse sides in the 70s and the best in the 80s.He was a very good player.

I think Jennings was the best keeper I have ever seen . I loved Perryman for his amazing loyalty and he was a great utilty player. But there have been so many great players I couldnt get him in my top 10. But he would be close to it. For me probably Waddle at 11 then Perryman 12.
