Tottenham have made contact with Juventus over an audacious swoop for Paulo Dybala.

Spurs would have to break their transfer record for the second time this summer to sign the Argentina international, who is valued at £80m by the Italian club.

Club leaked info. Too many sources ran with the story at the same time for it to be a coincidence.

Either Eriksen is off - and we may have a better sense of that later today - or Spurs putting pressure on Betis to conclude the Lo Celso deal.

Would prefer dybala instead of glc to replace eriksen, but as you said it’s probably a smokescreen to put pressure on Betis

Surely we're just using this to put the pressure on the Lo Celso deal, I've getting round to the idea of Eriksen staying

If we sign Dybala then I wouldn't be able to cope.

I'm not particularly sure how Dybala would work in the PL, sorry to shit on everyone parade. Remember the last goal scoring creative Argie we bought from Italy?

I don't think Dybala is that injury prone. ;)

He'd only really probably work as a no10, although I'll admit that although it's good to have attacking options having Dybala, Eriksen and GLC is overkill - hard to see where they fit in.

Then again Ardilles, Villa, Mascherano, Tevez and Aguero haven't been too dusty.

Unless, by selling the full backs, the plan is to play with two defenders and 8 attackers, a la Ardiles, then it's very very hard to see how this signing fits in when i try to imagine formations (especially if Eriksen stays or GLC also signs). I can't make things fit.

But who cares how things fit, not my place to worry about that, think the best thing to do is just be amazed and grateful that we are now at a point in our history when these are the types of players we are trying to sign. It was only 12 months ago that plenty of us wanted Grealish, yet here we are looking to sign players of a completely different level.

Think i'll just enjoy the ride and look forward to the start of the season.

No doubt it would signal Eriksen's sale.

Just checked his stats - big drop in goals last season compared to previous. Was he playing a deeper role following Ronaldo joining? His record in 17/18 was great.

17/18: 26 goals in 46 appearances
18/19: 10 goals in 42 appearances

Why am I struggling to think who that was? This heat has frazzled me!
