to be honest I have a few too many yellow tags. i know it's way too early to use a wildcard, but the way things are i might need to take a 16pt hit. I always thought you got 2 transfers during international weeks.

1 other question, if a players value goes up why don't you get the extra added, because you lose it on players that drop (Payet has been my biggest error) with only selecting WBA Fletcher as my 5th midfielder. to be honest I don't even know what the best formation to use, which is so annoying as it was my best ever start (bad week 3)
For every increase of .2 you gain .1 in selling price but you lose .1 for every decreaae

Too early? I use my WC at this point every season. I find that now is the best time for me because I get to set my team up properly from an 'educated' perspective and then take it from there. Also, seeing that I get another one in January, I can save that one for double gameweeks. Btw, the lowest I have ever finished was 200k+ and that was because I experimented heavily last season. My advice to you is to use it now.

he will only miss 2 games due to the EFL cup
I already took him out and will be keeping the extra in the bank for when he returns.

cheers must admit i think most of my yellow warning signs will be back by the next fixture bar Aguero, so will definitely leave it til we are close to the game week starting before deciding

Okay, but the players that you may want to transfer in may go up in value by then. Also, your WC stays active until the next gameweek which means you can swap as you like until the next match is played.

Use it now.

Yes, they go up and it is likely that Aguero drops. No problem, ask away.
not quite hit done lol, been playing FF for 15yrs, and even though I have played this I have never really took it serious. there are 2 double game weeks in December which I was intending to save it for, or if I had 4 or 5 red tags due to injuries.

I'm in the top 225 now (though enjoyed my week1 place more).

thanks for your advice, and it will most probably backfire on me, but I'm going to at least catch some team news next week, i have 2 choices in midfield so even if the prices go up on them, i can go for another choice, and if all the yellow turns to nbeing available i can save it for when it's too red

Yup, that's my take too. if you only need to tweak the team then it's nice to save it for the Xmas weeks, but there were too many passengers, and Aguero was the final straw. Using the wildcard now means that I can properly construct the squad before the surprise value players get too expensive. I can include new transfer window players, and have the added bonus of not getting penalized if someone gets injured on the international break.

Ahh... I forgot about Christmas. Well, I usually tweak my team weeks before and then save a double transfer to transfer out any players I may need to afterwards.

Yup. I tend to get a lot more value out of my wild card when I use it at this time, as opposed to using it for just a DGW. However, the one I get in January gets used for that because my team doesn't need an overhaul midway into the season.

There isn't a January wildcard any more. There is one for the first half of the season and one for the second half.

already regretting it, though it was either that or an 8-12pt hit, Aguero suspension and not a lot of thought on some of my original defensive options at the start
I took an 8 pt hit this week rather than wildcard. There are so many new players who may be good options this season but it's impossible to know who they are yet.

with Aguero out, Scmeichel possibly out, Lamela and Rondon might not start, and would of had to have 2 Swansea defenders possibly facing Chelsea, my team wasn't looking like making any points this week. would of been 12pt hit plus having a very poor defense, and possibly 2 players not play or only be subs.

I now have a strong defense for when I do use the bench boost, and have a choice of 2 players I can take out when it comes to bringing Aguero back

Looking at your team i'm surprised you thought you needed to wildcard. With Payet back this week i'm not sure you even needed to take a hit, just replace Aguero with whichever striker you fancied. You could have benched your 2 Swansea defenders.

A tip for you; save your bench boost for the week after your 2nd wildcard. Bench boost should be played in a double GW (as should the triple captain chip). Not only will you have more money (and thus a better bench) later in the season but you can set yourself up with 15 DGW players.
