Got 79 points this weekend, and I could've had 89 as Zaha was on my bench  (got 10 more points than Ozil...the ****)

The gains from using your wild card at this point doesn't come from just one GW though. It is to set your team up for the following months. I say months because the highest potential number of changes your wild card offers you is 15.

How many weeks worth of free transfers is that? I know its not completely applicable but it is still applicable to a certain degree.

Ibra and Aguero as my strikers. Guess who I chose as captain.

This season has been shit for me so far.

So who hasn't used their 1st wildcard yet?

This is looking like a great FPL season (despite my miserable start :(). So many good options available with attack dominating defence. Last season if you didn't get off to a great start you were pretty much doomed as the same players performed well all season long. This year it feels like there will be plenty of opportunities to catch up.

The all out attack is pretty useless. Use it if you can't field 3 defenders. The triple captain and bench boost are best saved for double game weeks.

Read the bloody rules ;).

I have just been going through the fixtures/game weeks and doesn't it usually = a double if there are midweek fixtures?

I thought I'd see when the 1st 1 comes up, yet the 2-3 weeks at the moment that there midweek fixtures during the season, they all have a different game week heading.

I know you said about using all out attack when not all defenders where available, thought i'd see if it would be worth using on the what I thought was a double in December, and with my defenders that week if it is might be the perfect opportunity as the have at least 1 bad fixture.

i wished this was a double to be honest, the next 2 fixtures would favour a 2-5-3, I don't know who to rest, Lamela not started last 2, but might v Man C, though tempted to change him to Son

I took Lamela out of mine. Spurs players, barring the defence, isn't really encouraging at the moment. Son is on my radar but Poch's team selection can be a headache. A bit too much rotation for my ff needs right now.

DGWs are usually due to fixture congestion due to cup runs although postponements due to bad weather can also cause DGWs.

Quick rundown on the chips.

AOA - Use it or don't bother. The only chip that can actually cost you points. Use it if you have 8 attackers you really want to play or a defensive injury crisis.

TC - Use it in a DGW or if one of your big hitters has an especially juicy looking fixture.

BB - Best saved for a DGW combined with your 2nd wildcard played the previous week to potentially set up a massive haul. Beware though as it can be next to impossible to put your team back together after filling it with DGW players. An alternative strategy is to slowly bring in DGW players in the lead up to a DGW and wildcard out of it to put your team back together or set up for a second DGW.

My team must have been out partying this week. Forster with a brain fart, Pereyra and Aguero both sent off. Thanks, guys. Thanks.

Well I'm definitely not. Last year was great, this year awful. I've taken to getting players in just to jinx them, and it's worked beautifully. No Spurs players for me.

i finally got to a week that I could use my BB, this week coming, but didn't realise (still never did read the bloody rules) I couldn't use my triple captain at the same time:( so that will be used the final weekend when most have nothing to play for:cry:

Not the worst week to be forced to use it. Traditionally there are often some huge scores on the last day of the season. Just make sure that at least one of your captain or VC actually plays :cautious:.

I'm up against a Gooner and a Spammer in my mate's ML. Just 9 pts between us (I trail). They have Sanchez (C) no Kane. I have Kane (C) no Sanchez :nailbiting:.

finished with an ok 157 using the bench boost and 84 using my triple captain "Kane". had a great start but not my best of games.

I was going really well on the Sky game, but my last 8 transfers went pair shaped. I got hit with 5 injuries in a very short space, unfortunately I had only just brought them into my team over a few weeks period, which meant missing out on having Kane in the team for the last few weeks. due to his last 2 games it's most probably cost me a top 100 spots, when considering I was in the top 20 for the previous 9 weeks.

missed 3 lots of captain changes on sky, and due to injuries made the wrong choice of player to bring in, even if I had picked the right team.

did have a brief showing in the top 10 of the daily telegraph team, but yet again, used transfers at the wrong time which suffered the same injuries, and my season finished at the beginning of April:oops:
