Our big problem is the West Stand, which ran way over budget and was a major contributory factor to our financial troubles of the 80s, and what did we get for all this money? A ludicrously small capacity, given its size.

Those of us with experience in construction will probably tell me otherwise, but surely it should be possible to begin work on its replacement whilst the ground is still in use? After all, there's a lot of space between the current stand and the High Road. This would minimise the time we'd have to camp elsewhere.

You are absolutley right, it is possible. It all depends on how and what the Board want to do.

Dunno where i got these from, and i'm sure that if anyone wants them taken down they will say so, but keep in mind these have been sat on my work computer for a good 18 months, at least...

make of them what you will - Rob, Mods, if anyone wants these down then go for it, but lets face it, these things are old now and i doubt they're actually still on the table for consideration

who knows...

wow.cool. like a "Tottenham Villiage". I can just imagine the american tourists booking up rooms in the hotel thinking it was on Tottenham Court Road. Then emerging from the foyer to discover they are in fact lodging in what appears to be an Afro/Albanian war zone.

Can you imagine the glee of the local muggers:

Excuse me sir can you tell me the way to buckingham Palaceshire. Where David and Victoria live.

Yeah, it's down that alley innit.

Funnily, I've lived in Tottenham for over thirty years now and haven't been mugged once. Neither has the missus. In all that time we've suffered one failed burglary.

So pissed off with the latte crowd slagging off the area in which I live. Just fuck off and die.

I went to school on white hart lane, grew up in tottenham, and if you and the missus have never been mugged you are obviously both very hard or go to the wrong places .

Seriously though accept it, the place needs a serious clean up, the buildings opposite the high road need to be redeveloped but more and much more than that we need some proper transport links.

Redoing the ground is exactly what the place needs as part of a regeneration plan but I cannot see the LA playing ball.

And by the way there is no reason I can see why the ground cannot be rebuilt turned round through 90 degrees with no more than 2 seasons out.

The area does need a clean-up, and it's gradually getting it. I just object to people claiming it's like Bogota, because it isn't.

Can I even be bothered?

You don't like Tottenham? No problem. There are plenty of chi-chi Latte bars within easy stepping distance of the Immigrants, I'm sure. Just don't get too far off Upper Street.

I chose to live here. I like living here, although I could easily afford to move to a more 'salubrious' area. So forgive me if I have scant patience with no-nothing dickwits who slag off Tottenham.

Both of you are far too old to be bickering like half-termers on a sugar rush.

Seriously. Right, to patronise the pair of you - BC, yes Tottenham may not be some hawty-tawty place in London but it's still the home of a number of members on this site and the club we generally bleed for every week. And SS57, despite BC slagging off your area, telling him to "fuck off and die" isn't really the approach here - so cool off, the pair of you.

After all, it is the World Famous Home of the Spurs.

Consider your wrists slapped, and if I was a priest and/or 70s teacher I'd probably touch you a little bit, for being so naughty.

Surely it's know-nothing.

I know this gal right, shock horror, and well she's lived in Tottenham all her life. According to her it's completely safe, just has a bad rep. But she won't take a step into Turnpike lane, which i thinks a fairly safe area. Funny eh?

What a bleeding snob!! What's wrong with Latte ffs? It's a drink!!

And well done you for living in a place you like, perhaps you ought to get a medal for it??

And if people want to compare Tottenham to Bogota, Beirut or Belfast so what?? No one's slagging your wife or your children. Tottenham's a place, like Islington or where-the-f*ck-else people like or dislike, it's not everyone's cup of tea but there you go.

Was that really necessary seeing as how I was trying to diffuse the situation?

Stoof, you're doing a stirling job! You two, calm it down. SS, must confess I have been known to talk down the area, but it was in terms of comparison to the other lots patch and the value of land. Whereas they're in popular Islington, Spurs isn't best located when it comes to selling up and getting a pot load of money if we were to move.
Let's all unite against the common enemy!

Chase farm hospital under threat - huge site there - right next to Gordon Hill

Kidding aside what is wrong the whole estate near north middlx hospital with some configuration would work
