You seen Prime Ministers question time recently?

The money markets in the city is absolutely full of complete ****s that spend the entire day effing and blinding a shouting all day down the phone whilst snorting whatever up their noses

Let it go. Offices are full of ****s just like in the trades

We're all the same at the end of the day. Some people are ****s and others a jolly nice blokes

Stella does play a part as well...

"Let it go"

"Stop having a different opinion to me" :ROFLMAO:

You're quite the chap on the internet, spam rate anybody who disagrees with you aren't you? In real life-not quite so much, you prefer to slink away it seems. Carry on spamming if it helps with your manhood issues.

And block.

I assumed it would cause a stir - SC is obviously infested with thuggish manual labour brutes! ;)

I think I get your point. Don't get me wrong, I've worked in offices long enough to know there are plenty of thugs in those jobs too, but I think there are certain working environments that encourage loutish behaviour on a daily basis. There's a 'lad' culture of 'banter' and bigotry that appears to be given more freedom in some professions compared to others where little boys are desperate to prove how manly they are.

Whether it results in more violence from particular professions seems doubtful to me, but I think the above is what you were alluding to.

That is exactly what I was trying to say - it's about what behaviour is normalised in different environments, I wasn't claiming every bloke who is a scaffolder is trying to knock people out every Friday night.

Unfortunately I didn't manage to put it half as well in about three posts as you did in one!

I think we all know anyone can be a prick. One of the Chelsea fans that got sentenced for pushing that black French guy off a train was a barrister or lawyer (I think), and a lot of the violence I've witnessed in Bristol tends to be from hooray Henry rugby lad types.

That's why I won't make any guesses about the profession of the idiot involved in this incident, but yeah I definitely think there are vocations that tend to be very 'blokey', which in turn can encourage a bullshit wannabe alpha male syndrome.

I was for a scaffolding company many moons ago. They were trying to knock people out every Friday night and Thursday, Wednesday......

Just because you can't get away with that in an office environmoent, doesn't mean people like that aren't there?!!

You go out in the city on a friday night, its a fucking **** brigade in a lot of places - and far worse than some cheeky wolf-whistles off the scaffolding.

There are ****s in all walks of life, you just notice them more when they aren't 'your' ****s...

I work in publishing/media and there's always been a huge divide at publishing houses between editorial, who rightly or wrongly see themselves as creatives and are quite civilised, and the commercial teams, who see themselves as making the money and who err on the City type.

There was a guy I used to work with who walked round the office sneering "pages pay wages" - as if he didn't sell a mag ad, we'd go poor, and thrusting that in your face. He wasn't a boss, he was a junior.. He & another sales guy once got drunk at a birthday drinks (unisex, I might add), stripped to the waist, had an arm wrestle on a pool table and then started trying to punch in car windows.

Most commercial teams have terrible basic, but good commission and bonuses, and they hoover up people from comps as anyone with a bit of the gift of the gab and some confidence can pull in dollars. Half our commercial floor are Chelsea fans. I used to work at a style mag and the publisher was hardcore Chelsea, with some of the iffiest casuals you've ever seen. Did get some good sportswear deals, mind.

When I first left uni, I worked at a car alarm invoicing office and that was all thuggish West Ham and Chelsea too. This idea that offices don't have thugs in is a weird one. Only place I ever worked that didn't was NHS invoicing office, on uni summer, which was all middle aged women talking about yoghurt.

Watching wolf of Wall Street shows me that offices are perfectly calm civilised places.

If any manual labourers are not busy later, me and few fellow savages are going to have a few beers, sniff some coke and find some of those office fannys to batter later, hopefully scaring the general public while we're at it.
PM me if interested.
Office fannys need not apply.
