"At best, 'good'"? He was given MOTM by some outlets, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it. Moreover, our travelling support were very happy with him.

He had a good game but he was not brilliant or wonderful by any stretch of the imagination. A lot of people are going massively overboard becauase he was a bit tidier than usual and has a bit more confidence. Im not knocking his game but his performance was no better than decent to good, or put another way 'at best, good'.

It's all relative to how the rest of the team performed in the match. In absolute terms, of course he wasn't brilliant. What he was was very effective for the team. That's all I wanted and that's what he gave. Why does it bother you so much that people have used hyperbolic adjectives?

Because it's not hyperbolic it's just wrong? Cant have people being wrong on the internet, it's against the rules. And it's patronising, people are effectively giving him a big star badge with 'i wasn't a complete waste of space today' written on it in felt tip.

He was fine, i was happy, its good to see him playing with confidence and i hope he keeps getting better but the moment he has a game where he runs with the ball in a straight line a lot and then boots it into his own face again all the fans will turn just as hard as they turned this time. I'm just a fan of keeping things in perspective.

I think Poch has the correct balance and that's all that matters in the end.

The headline has a certain irony to it. It would be more appropriate if it said ' Moussa Sissoko finally produces a couple of performances Spurs fans can get excited about'. I'm really pleased for him but it's been a long, long wait.

Took Lamela 5 years and he played more often too.
Now they're both getting deserved plaudits from all over the place.

I read the thread title and expected to read how he'd been beaten up, bundled into the back of a van and was missing.

Glad he hasnt been lynched. Playing well.
Confidence plays a massive part in sport. Massive.

Careful, if you read his thread in chat you'll see the words 'fantastic' and 'magnificent' to describe a performance yesterday that was at best 'good'. He's certainly playing well (for two games in a row no less!) but the will for some people on here for this to be some sort of biblical renaissance means reason has gone well out the window.

Likewise, people on here have been so scathing and derogatory about him, they could not possibly bring themselves to admit he has stepped up a notch in his performances and contribution to the team. But rather stick to the line that he's been shit enough for long enough, they can hate him forever.

Just before its brought up, 'he can't control a ball'. Kyle Walker couldn't cross to save his wang, Lennon had no end product, Dawson was stiffer than aerospace-aluminium honeycomb, Robbie Keane could only finish difficult chances, Zokora could control but was shit. There are always limitations to player abilities.

If you look at our teams from the 90's and early 00's - i bet every one of those flouncy, spineless, journeymen who huddled around the few good players we had at the time had great touch/technique and it counted for nothing...
