Spurs fans should trust Pochettino, a manager who doesn’t need to spend

Was going to post this article as I think it's spot on
Sure, we suddenly seem to be the cat amongst the pigeons in a title fight but remembering our aims and objectives at the start of the season means we ought not yet to make wild assumptions about where we may finish and what / who we should have bought to 'win the league'

I think the key points in the article are the dressing room chemistry and the desire to nurture young players and that Levy appears to be in full support of his manager.

I view Pochettino very differently now than I did when we first signed him. I now see him more like a teacher, someone who clearly takes pleasure in seeing the end product of something he has worked hard to cultivate.

Whilst it would be unbelievable if we won the league (something I never thought I'd see in my youth) - it's the longer term picture I think we as fans should subscribe to. The fact that we are steadily improving and that this is through a combination of buying smart and nurturing talent.

Likeable, talented manager: check
World class training facility: check
Massive stadium: near-check
Youthful team: check
Talented U21s: check
Smart transfer policy: check
Good scouting system: check

What's not to like?

Personally, I'd be happier to see us win trophies through this route than the one taken by Chelsea and Man City.
Very well put.

I would have liked another striker, Kane is doing brilliantly but if he ever needs a rest or gets a knock it would help to have a back up. Maybe Clinton is nearly fit again. I trust Poch, done the best since Burkinshaw and he if he can get a couple of trophies in the next few years he'll be the best since Billy Nick.

I hope so! However if he does get injured and we fail to score enough goals to win games, the Spurs board should hang their collective head in shame. Cause this is the best chance we've had to win anything in the last eight years! Its almost insane that we haven't got any proper backup for Kane.

You didn't read the article did you, nothing to do with the Spurs board on us not getting g a backup striker in, it's all on Poch.

Trust in MP, if he wanted a striker he would have signed one. Berahino wanted to come, so did Jackson apparently but we have plenty of back up. For a start we've not seen a lot Clinton playing through the middle, which is his favoured position and once he's back from this knee injury I'm sure well see more of him. Plus Sonny and Chadli could play there too.

We are playing excellent football, some of he best I have ever seen. Alli went off tonight Chadli came on, guess what, nothing changed. Vertonghen out, Wimmer in, guess what, no change. I get the feeling if Kane got injured Poch would change tactics and everything would be OK. My glass is definitely half full right now.;)

Hear hear.

Poch makes those decisions not the Board.

O.K.,O.K., we didn't get some striker-cover and things are just great right now, BUT, I still say another striker would have given us some BACK-UP just in case some goon of a defender out there decides to go after Harry.
Like one or two on here, I'm just keeping my fingers, and everything else, crossed......

It's easy to say "get another striker." It's harder to define who. West Brom didn't want to sell Berahino. End of story. Southampton is paying Austin, according to reports, £100,000 a week. That wouldn't do for us. Fulham wants Dembele to be loan back to them for the remainder of the season. That wouldn't help our case at all. So who do you think we can get that would be of help to us in the event of an injury to Kane and who wouldn't cost a king's ransom? I definitely would like to hear your suggestion.
