Tottenham are keen to lure Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg across North London.

The Daily Mail says Spurs top the clubs interested in signing Freddie Ljungberg from Arsenal - but only if he cuts a third off his £70,000-a-week salary.

The Sweden international may be headed to Spain instead with Valencia and Seville keeping any eye on his predicament now he has been told he can leave the Emirates Stadium.

    Absolute Ball Shit.

Heard he was leaving a while ago but he wouldn't come to Spurs IMHO especially if he had to cut his wages down so much. Think he'll be on a plane to Spain before the window closes...

The Mail are also claiming tjat Defoe is going to Chelsea and Darren Bent is coming here to replace him. Another unlikely story- I hope.

He WAS a great player......Was being the opertaive word.....not to mention he's a Gooner!

About as likely as me buying a season ticket at Highbury....

F**k that. . Even if there was an ounce of truth to this I saw him cheat and dive so much in the last N L Derby for Arse that I could not possibly support him.

I wouldn't give a monkey's about him being a Gooner, but I really do not want him in the club.

He's been absolutely terrible the last year or so. His knack for popping up and scoring goals has vanished completely, even when he got a good run in the Arse side after recovering from that iron deficiency thingy (or whatever it was) he had. Not to mention he's been a bit like TT for a couple of years, either injured or sick about 45 weeks a year.

I always used to rate the player Ljungberg, but he can be a real arse off the pitch too. Him and Mellberg have been at each other a few times on international duty, and the fight they had during a 2002 World Cup training session is almost legendary.

He took Assout-Ekotto to the cleaners this season. It was embarassing.

Good grief, I was just waiting for this....
