Surely the way to do this is on a goals scored/conceded per game basis? Not just a total. On that basis you can say that Crewe have never conceded a goal in the Premier League so their defence must be pretty good. Except....

It's 9.20am here in Huntington Beach, California. Time to go out in the sun-sheeee-iiiiiiiiiiiiine!

Players by players, we do not have the worst defence. We conceded many goals under Jol because of the tactiscs. That was the main reason, and that was the reason he had to leave THFC.

I think you'll find that it's based on all the goals we've conceded since the start of the Prem and that in that time we had our best ever season, in terms of goals conceded, under Jol. Also, this season upto the point Jol left we had given away the 5th lowest amount of shots on goal, so if we were so tactically poor, then how come we gave away so few opportuinites? Maybe you should bother to take a look at how we conceded our goals and you'll find an insane amount of individual errors. These errors are still there and I assure you West Ham won't be as kind as Wigan.

WOW. Bit late now for old man Jol. If I'm not mistaken the goalkeeping stats for 06/07 showed something similar, which appeared to point towards Robbo's poor shot stopping ability earlier in the season as the reason why we let in more goals last season in comparison to the previous 2.

Still with a little bit of renewed confidence (Robbo, Dawson...) I'm sure Ramos will get our defense back to the top 4 standard defense Jol had for two seasons.

What would really make it for Ramos is if he managed to continue the improvement in midfield goal scoring we have seen this season.
