Unfortunately we are going from an almost unmatched totally comprehensive service of all EPL games live every week on one channel (Foxtel) to a dogs breakfast of an arrangement with massive fragmentation of provision similar to the crap one you get in the UK thru BT / Sky etc. Foxtel allowed themselves to be outbid by a two bob organisation Optus who believe they can recoup their $100m thru a streaming, one free to air game and a limited broadband service. Absolutely fuming at this fragmentation, I was very happy to pay one subscription for every game live:mad:

We have mobiles with Optus so it is free for this season....EPL all games. My son also got the mini fetch tv box for $5 a month. Watched Everton v Spurs last night the picture was not quite HD but gives us a Live Tv solution

First game in and I've already had enough of this SBS/Foxtel/Optus circus shit.

Streaming can be so dodgy in Australia, especially with our inferior internet services. However, if you are lucky enough to have fast stable internet, look up an application called Ace Stream and download it, then search for Bloodzeed streams on Google. Btw Bloodzeed is also a Spurs supporter.

Top notch streams of all games. Then stick your finger up at Optus.

Have a nice day

Pissed off too. I see it's on again tomorrow - let's hope it's the real thing.

Honestly, one of the reasons I chose to live in Australia was that I could watch virtually every game live. It's like living in the third world now.

Really impressed with the free SBS HD coverage though. We have back to back games on SBS coming up soon too (y)

Saturday 22 October at 10:00pm (AEST): Bournemouth v Tottenham
Saturday 29 October at 12:30am (AEST): Tottenham v Leicester City

If only it was all that easy :(

I'm now wondering if it's because they carry both Spurs and City TV and they'll show the game on City TV tonight.

It did say Spurs V man City on the programme info but played from the previous week. I reckon they just played the wrong clip - tossers!

Agreed on SBS. I like it.. even if Craig Foster is miserable. Michael Bridges is good and the host (.. Zelic? I don't know her first name..) asks good questions.

There doesn't seem to be much bias either. They talk up both teams and show a variety - so far it's been whoever plays the early game. I also like their CL coverage, even if it is at 4.45am! haha

the Optus coverage is fantastic , get a cheap sim for an iPad and plug it into a hd tv and you have a perfect picture a cheap sim deal is $30 so cheaper than a Foxtel package you can even use leads and plug an iPhone into the tv it works perfect for my dad. I have a mini fetch box every game is on demand it's so much cheaper than foxtel

Have sbs been doing live champions league this season?
One game a week, usually early hours of Wednesday. Except when City/Gladbach was called off and rescheduled, they showed it the next day instead. Last week it was Dortmund vs RM.

Could you please clarify what you mean by plugging an iPad into a TV. Wouldn't you need Apple TV or something similar?

hdmi lead and an apple connector costs around $70 from apple it connects into the iPad or and iPhone through the charger point.
