Judging by who you work for (I know because I checked when you had your free legal advice link in your sig), what sort of job would you be looking to get out there?

Fortunately im no longer working with that firm and im going out there with a US firm as a Legal Exec.

Its a great opportunity and I just think that life in UK is just becoming too difficult

How are you finding it mate? I could be out there within the month!!
I'm probably the wrong person to ask mate, it's decent but I've lived in far better places. Huge international culture here, loads of Brits and what not. You'll probably enjoy the lifestyle as well. Relatively cheap for purchasing/renting things like houses or apartments and cars here are very cheap which is awesome. You moving here or just hols/business? And every Premier League match is shown here so thats always a good thing!!

SZR, pretty amazing sight. A lot of offices are around there as long as some lovely accommodation. Look at Dubai Marina. Thats nice. Villa's you got Greens, Springs, Arabian Ranches, Victory Heights, Palm. How old are you mate, if you don't mind me asking?Get ready for the hot weather, you just missed Ramadan which is good!! This place becomes a lot better around October through February. (Cooler weather wise, events, etc.)

Check out gulfnews.com for an idea of rentals. Lots of places you can rent if you working on SZR.

General word of warning though Dubai economy hasnt been spared from the global crisis - continuing job cuts and lower retail and corporate spending. Friendly advice - make sure you have a clear idea of how your target market is holding up in these months.

If all that stuff will be ok and the money guaranteed to come in - fantastic place to live. Great lifestyle and generally great people. Very multi cultural though a strong and conservative Asian influence. (so no shagging on beachs etc.)

Hope it goes well - good luck
