Cannes here! A few of us round here, love to hook up for a beer & Spurs sometime. Hit me up if you're ever this far East. I don't go to Marseille, too fekkin dangerous! ;)

Nice! [Standard response: No Cannes not Nice ;)] I will do. I'm sure I can find an excuse to visit Cannes. Probably best to avoid Marseille - its just for hard nuts like me.

I am in Beziers right down south in Herault, Languedoc.... don't suppose many Spurs fans around here . But if so shout
SDF (sud de France) COYS

Not in France (although I would love to be) but I am going to use this opportunity to ask a question. I write a flag blog. Yeah, I know......that just made all the female posters here ovulate.

But I find flags fun. You use as your avatar the flag that is tied to what is referred to as the logo of languedoc-roussillon. But I have also seen a red/yellow flag with a shield (Cross of Languedon) and bars (Catalan standard) that is considered the coat of arms flag. Are either of these officially used in the region? Or do they both have an equal unofficial status? Or is their politics behind using the logo rater than the shield due the Catalan/Languedoc split?

I am trying to understand the way only a flag nerd could ever want to understand.

Thanks

Fan of the club not the town?

Yeah, sorry, that's what I meant. But his love for Marseille is special. He may migrate there one day.

Sorry if you feel I've wasted your time :( . It is just banter.

It had occurred to me, but I gave up on the idea. Can't recall why. I'm interested - I'll let you know ta!

Been a fan of Bielsa for while, like what he's doing at Marseille so far, love the look of the new stadium, been a huge fan of Payet since his St Etienne days too.

As ever with Bielsa you never know how it will end, but he's a real character.

I've only just moved here and am yet to really get into watching French football. Seems a shame as the Marseille bubble will probably burst when I do (if it hasn't already).

Anything in Nice (around Fayence) where we can watch Spurs? Not one bloody bar here with a TV showing football!!! :-(

I'm in Cannes mate, mid way between Nice & Fayence. Heading down the local (V close to the train station) in a few hours to catch the game with a few others - love to buy you & pint & introduce you to a few local yids if you can get into Cannes

That notwithstanding - you in Nice or Fayence? Quite the difference! Lol - Fayence you won't find I'm pretty sure. Closest will be Cannes

Nice though loads of options. Akathor on the Cours Seleya, or Ma Nolans by the port would be the best bets

I live in France, been here 3 years. In the South West between Angouleme & Poitiers. I'd be amazed if any other members on here lived anywhere close, it's well in the countryside!
