Well as im not a native froggy im gonna start this thread to get the french yids on the map.

There are other younger members here on SC that probably have more knowledge about the spurs supporting communiy in france than me so they can add their stuff later.

I know there is a spurs supporters club in Paris which is organised by
Magnus Eriksson (yes he's swedish and no relation to the other one) but i have never had the chance to contact him or go visit the supporters club so i can't really tell you alot about their activities.

Their website is HERE but doesn't say very much.

If your in Paris on business or here for a dirty (ermm romantic) weekend there are lots of irish/english pubs where you can watch our games and mingle with the british, american, australian, nz, south african, well the ones that speak english, people. The main areas to find these sort of pubs are near the Champs Elysée (8th Arr.), in the St Germain des Près area where you'll find loads of little side roads leading off into picturesque parisien village style rues with big English, Scottish, Irish flags hanging outside the bar, and with noisy brits doing their usual im on holiday drinking sessions.
Chatelet les halles is another area which is vastly populated by the local brit and has a lot of anglophone hangouts where your find brits (or english speakers) drinking, singing, throwing up, and generally having fun, if u check the Paris Spurs supporters site they mention a pub/bar/restaurant that they frequent so might be worth checking out.

Spurs are not a very well known in France but are slowly becoming a recognised team by the TV commentators over here because of the french contingent within our ranks, most french football fans will talk about Henry and the Arse but now he's gone they can STFU!

Im waiting for FrenchAlex and Spurs_59 or whatever he was called, to add to this thread as they are both french nationals one from the East of France i think (FrenchAlex) the later from Bordeaux (Spurs_??) so they can enlighten you all on where to support Spurs in other regions and so desperately seek a TV wihich is showing our game.

If your ever in Paris send me a PM so we can meet or that i can tell you where the best peep show ermm pub with a TV is ;)

Allez Les Spurs!

Thanks for the thread !

So I'm 19 and I live in Caen in Normandy.
I've been supporting spurs for 4 years now, and i've been to my first game last year at the lane against blackburn.

Hope there are many others french supporters, i'm feeling alone among all those big4 supporters.. :-|

Found this informative Spurs Summary on the Anderlecht website

I finished studying French 27 years ago, but I still understood nearly all of that - remarkable.

Hello, just like to say I'm in France at the moment. And I'm half French. So erm yeaaaahh. Big up French Spurs.

Also, I realised the other day that the French commentator is called Guy Stephane, and his co-commentator was called Stephane Guy. How bloody awesome is that?

And they are two of the most irritating dickheads to have to listen to (biased Ar5ena1 loving wankers), go to the Canal+ site and find out Darren Tullet's rubrique on Fabulous sport and the Premier League, i comment on there every now and then and i am asking for Canal+ to give us the option to listen to commentry in VO aswell as VF like with their movies.

Salut.

I don't think they're intentionally pro-Arsenal, it's just everyone in France knows them because they had some big French players. I think it's just that they're pretty unknowledgeable about the other clubs. Like during the 5-1 game they were making out that Jenas was some sort of demi-god!

Try one of the bars in Rue Princesse, 75006. Nice bars and don't get too crowded.
There's a Marks & Spencer just around the corner.

Well thanks, maybe helps other Yids out there :D

Found on time for the second half "The Lions" which had several sports channels on and showed the game with sound. Just got a bit annoyed by the Liverpool scarves at the wall :yuck:.
Otherwise I would recommend it.

Any thoughts on a bar to meet in & watch the final on 1 June? I live in the 9th, but am happy to travel anywhere in Paris so as to be able to watch the game with fellow Spurs fans ?

Apparently there's been meetings of french Spurs fans in The Bombardier near the Pantheon.

Don't know how many people were there, I didn't have the occasion to go yet. It's a good pub regardless.
